And for Architecture students they need to qualify another exam for getting into IITs, i.e. AAT which is only qualifing and no ranking is issued... and then on the the basis of jee adv. ranks you are alloted the seats

No it requires math and aptitude. You should also have to be a science student to write JEE so best is to study maths
