Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Clutch and gears. Making the two cylinder Yanmar diesel move this honda CBR motorcycle frame in smokey fashion.

On a scale of 1 to 10, this build is a solid 12.5. Low tech equipment / solutions to getting the job done. That's why I watch.... 👍👍

Wet clutch won't hold up long. But. Some older Harleys and Ducatis came with dry clutches you could probably utilize.

that wet clutch is gonna burn up real fast brother, maybe try implementing a dry clutch if possible. awesome build

Wobble on the pillow brace might be from the shaft beside it not being straight. looked like it warped to one side when you welded, but we didnt get to see it all so idk. This was my first time seeing one of your videos, it was great! Subscribed :)

well done! but in my opinion the sprocket on the crankshaft sticks out way to far, so you get to much of force on the Crank. I would also recommend not integrating the alternator into the primary drive because the strong engine braking of the diesel engine will cause large forces to act on the alternator bearing when you take off the accelerator while driving

That is a good point I hadn’t considered on the alternator I might need to move it to a separate sprocket

@@simplytinkerdad i build a BMW K100 Dieselbike with a Kohler/Lombardini 700cc twin and one of the biggest differents while riding it compared to a normal Bike ist the strong Engine braking caused by the higher Compressionratio of the Dieselengine.

Cool build - I'm curious if it would be easier/better to throw diesel parts in the engine (quite a bit of modding I guess)

This is awesome but I fear those gears left without oil will die very quickly, as will the clutch. Perhaps a belt drive clutch would be easier?

Ha yes this will also be an experiment on how long those parts will last. I wouldn’t be disappointed if it fails just an excuse to try something different

Wonder if you could have modified an existing motorcycle engine to run diesel. Modifying a 2 stroke dirt bike engine would be the way to go probably

how you gonna lubricate that clutch pack and those gears? thats not a dry clutch... dont think its gonna last long.

Your right it’s a wet clutch just an experiment might be short lived. On the gears I greased them we will see if that’s good enough i wouldn’t be surprised if not

@@simplytinkerdad definitely a cool project. you reall need a pipe on the exit of that turbine housing, it will help spool the turbo, even if its a short straight piece.
