Having lived in Dubai I can tell you the air quality is very poor there. According to the WHO the particulate content of the air in Dubai is 2.8 times the recommended limits. The answer of course is the move to EVs which is a journey we are already on. Here in France Diesel cars are almost finished in the market, with half a million being scrapped every year and few new ones being sold. .

Your sentiments are in the right place in that we do need to get diesels off the roads of Europe ASAP but you are behind the curve when it comes to EV adoption. EV sales in Europe climb month on month and will hit 20% easily this year across the EU....In some countries EVs are now between 50% and 90% of the new car market. There are really no downsides to owning an EV as I have shown on my channel 'Kia e-NIro Diaries Encore'. In almost 5 years and 90,000 km we have enjoyed trouble free driving across Europe from our home in South West France. Charging en route has never been a problem, although our car is now looking old-tech compared with the charging speeds of some newer EVs. Even so, the car has a longer range than I ever drive in one sitting before taking a break. In this time I have saved at least €9,000 on fuel and servicing when compared to a fossil car.

We are all carbon based. Support carbon! Diesel, petrol, gas, coal are good.

diesel cars emmit less co2 as well as they are more fuel efficient. also they last a lot longer than 99 percent of gasoline cars but they need maintenance every year like oil and filters but you also need to do that to gasoline cars. you can find used diesel cars with many more kilometers.
