Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

the way I explained tools to my friend who recently switched over to the shop I work at. i told him that 1/2 sockets become your 3/8 sockets and your 3/4 sockets become your 1/2 sockets. also told him to stock up on SAE stuff

I thought I was the only one using a chain wrench for air driers!

I don’t work on heavy equipment but I bought a 3/4th drive ratchet and socket set that goes up to 2 an 1/2 inches with a breaker bar and 5 extensions for 50 bucks at a garage sale and when I swapped my front end that big ratchet set came in handy on the radius arm bolts! Lol now sometimes I put an adapter to half inch drive and use it as a ratcheting breaker bar!

Another use for the chain wrench: I had to change an air compressor on a c7 and had to swap the drive gear. Chain worked to hold gear in place while I torqued it down on the new one.

that's solid advice the only thing i would add is a torch with map gas or oxy torch if allowed. i did pm service on fleet vehicles for nearly 5 years torch, hammer, prybar and pipe wrench are worth they're weight in gold

I get my impact sockets up 1inch drive up to 3 3/4 inch and my 1.5 inch drive up to 5 inch from Sunex and Mcmaster-Carr and before tehm I got every thing From the old days Proto industrial and my combination wrenches up to 5 7/16th inch from Mcmaster-carr also but In the past I use to work on Mining machinery an some vintage Steam engines most of which are now obsolete ... so it was Cool you showing of your tools its not cheap being HD mostly when one wrench or socket can cost up to $1000

I made a large strap wrench for driers and filters with 3/4” square tubing 8” long. Slotted it & fed an old seat belt in then put a 3/4”-1/2” square adapter for a 1/2” ratchet.

Great info. Always have worked on my own vehicles. I bought a 40ft school bus 2 years ago to convert into an RV (about half way there now). I've already had to change out my air dryer and radiator (this spring, I'll be putting in a new main air tank). Once I'm on the road, I want to be sure I have what tools I need for emergency repairs and general maintenance. I don't want to be one of those people having to find a tow truck to haul you to a shop 50 miles away. That's some big dollars there!

👍 good vid i often employ the big hammer or pry bar as well but i occasionally talk myself into working smarter than harder maybe in a future vid you could show some of the shop equipment that makes things easier like overhead hoist , tranny jack , dual wheel carrier , etc.
