Absolutely! He strengthened her and she softened him.

Their story was like "A Walk to Remember" but in real life.

Seeing CT so cut up like that just cemented how much he really cared for her and how much her death impacted him. They were definitely one of my favorite couples to form on The Challenge.

CT didnt have to say much and i already was crying. They truly were soulmates. The reason I am a Challenge fan till this day is because of CT and Diem. The Duel is the first season I watched in 2006 and it has been an honor and privilege to have watched their journey together throughout the years. I definitely believe she is his guardian angel.

Wes has always been this romantic good guy with the girls he liked (other than his Real World days), so I feel he saw something in CT Diem didn't. He was protective over her bc he knew she was a real sweetheart and CT was the opposite, but he did see the change in him years later. I'm glad they squashed their crap and became good friends.

You could see how much DIEMS presence in CTs life really softened him. He became WAYYY more reliable and calm, knowing that she trusted him and loved him. He wasn’t perfect but he spent all the time he could making her feel beautiful in the midst of such a traumatic situation, like cancer.

The fact he can’t talk about her the look in his eyes 😢 that’s real love

CT didn’t even have to say a word. We all knew he loved/loves Diem and they were soulmates.

I think what was special about Diem is that she was everyone's soulmate. She was connected with all of them and I think it will always bother all of them that she had to go through that and that she passed so young. She deserved a full life and it is unfair

It is a real life beauty and the beast. When ct joined real world then stepped into the challenge he was a complete ass. When things started off with diem it showed a completely different side. Made me tear up to watch him help her get her confidence back in the duel. She was so ashamed at not having her long hair and he made her feel like it didn't matter.

CT is the tough guy, he never flinches, always is on top of his game... She died in 2014, and now in 2022, he looks defeated bringing her up, I just... I can never imagine having to carry something like that with you for the rest of your life.

8:29 the hurt CT has in his voice and the pain in his eyes truly shows the mental,emotional, and just down right physical pain losing the love of his life way too soon, I truly feel like if Diem was still here they’d definitely be married with kids, but I hope they’ll find each other in there next life and finally get there happy ending

I used to feel like CT just stopped talking about diem out of respect for his wife. But now I feel like it’s still way too painful for him to think about and he probably avoids talking about her now to suppress the sadness. Also remember her lost his brother as well. I don’t think he will ever get over this

They are divorcing and if you see all of her demands, it's insane! Diem wouldn't ever treat him this way through a divorce. She basically wants him to pay for EVERYTHING, and keep their son. Read up on it. She's a piece of shit in my mind. She might have been using him all along, who knows.

Ppl lash out when they’re dealing with things they don’t know how to manage emotionally. It happens to most of us only few ppl are strong enough to not let emotional distress negatively impact their relationships. Ppl have a headache and want to set the whole world on fire. I always try to consider the unknowns they someone may be dealing with. We’re all just trying to be “ normal “ through all the ups and downs of life. I also imagine how hard it had to be for Diem to show up and put on a smile with what she was facing. Diem & CT were easily the most memorable ppl to me because of their unique relationship. CT was still a loose cannon at the time and she definitely brought out a different side of him. I never lost a partner but I know what it’s like to lose a loved one and carry that pain that will always remain. My advice to everyone is to try to be on good terms with your loved ones. You never know when your time is up and it’s going to be so much harder if you didn’t try to preserve that relationship. You don’t get anymore chances.

CT is not only my fav champ from the challenge and hes so bad ass. But the fact that he stuck beside her through it all. And I hate bananas but the fact that he was really good to her when she was dying I always appreciated. CT is the man

It is quite moving and telling that CT is still so affected by Diem's death. I sometimes wonder if Diem has lived if they would have married has children and finally been able to make it work.

They were back together when she died - on Exes 2 when she talked about being ready to be a bride and wanting to hire a surrogate, that was to have a family with him. It's so sad.

Seven years, and it's still hurts him as if it was 7 days ago. Death of close family and friends at young ages within a couple years of each other is devastating to individuals.

OMG, I'm still not over this. Their relationship, her death. I watched them since the beginning and still think about them to this day. They are truly soulmates. It's clear as anything in this world.

My heart goes out to CT it’s not easy to share feelings like that on TV and seeing how much everyone loved Demo just shows so much❤

I don't think it's scary at all. It's very, very human, and immensely touching. She brought out a side of him that I think would never have come out otherwise, and the world saw it.

I am still heartbroken about her death. Diem was such a fighter. She really love life and kept fighting for her life.

If you've never watched The Duel..... you just cannot know how much CT loved Diem and what he did for her. She beat freaking cancer but she was still sooooo scared to be seen without her wig coming onto the season - at that point only 3 people had ever seen her without it. CT made it his mission to convince Diem she was beautiful without the wig - that's why he wanted her to take if off for their first kiss. It would have been beautiful to see any relationship start with the amount of respect and admiration CT showed her, it was just so much more shocking to see Diem bring that out of someone like CT. They had some pretty low lows too, but what they shared was just so beautiful.

Diem was just a strong fighter. To compete in a cutthroat competition show in the middle of having her own battle with cancer. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I miss seeing Diem. She is such a strong spirit. She reminds me of my aunt who died of brain cancer. Strong, determined, unwavering, always strong.

It’s REALLY hard to watch CT have to talk about Diem. It’s VERY clear the role he played in her life, and I think the LOVE he had for her may not ever be replicated, BUT, o hope he finds comfort in knowing she loved him back. ♥️♥️

Goodness! you can’t call yourself a Challenge fan and not be impacted by this love story. It’s such an integral part of the makeup of this show. They loved too hard at the wrong time. And they continued to hurt each other and it was hard to watch. Especially CT’s dark time where he got kicked out twice for physical fights. And she wasn’t there for him when his brother was murdered and they both were trying to find each other again after a long time. She was gone too soon and I watched invasions, where CT remembered diem on her anniversary and I cried for a good hour. She definitely had a hand in him winning that challenge, that season. Man, what an example that the people you love are always gone too soon. But I guarantee, that the both of them are grateful that they met each other and loved each other, because it’s definitely better than none of that happening at all. Cherish those you love, people!!

How do you know this information? CT should have taken a break after his brother was murdered. Diem, wasn't there for CT at his darkest moment when he always showed up for her. I believe they would have got it together. RIP Diem

We all may or may not have heard of the term lightning in a bottle. CT and Diem are that. I feel like I grew through watching them grow. I’ve never really wanted to be any reality TV peoples friend. Reality TV has a way of making you question everything that you see happen on screen. But, for all the stuff that seemed fake or staged, this was real. We really got to see two people fall completely in love with each other. We got to watch their journey from beginning to end. We smiled when they got together, we cried when they broke up, and we genuinely fell in love with the two of them almost as much as they fell for each other. It’s been almost a decade since Diem left this world, and you can see clear as day in this video that CT, despite the fact that he is genuinely happy and content in life now, still aches for her every day. They truly were soulmates from the moment they met, and even if they couldn’t be together like we all hope they would, it is abundantly clear that they changed each other’s lives forever. RIP Diem, you beautiful soul ❤

It doesn't matter how many years pass, this loss hits hard. As I'm home going through chemo for breast cancer, I rewatched all the old seasons. Their love is really the best love story I've ever seen play out. It's sad that it ended too soon.

This and Knight was the most heart breaking TV I've watched in forever, so crazy forgetting that these people are human just growing up in front of us while some of us were/are doing the exact thing but the difference is our mistakes and faults aren't on the internet forever with a bunch of haters 😮‍💨
