Great track and racing. Thank you. I am dumbfounded over Mattel not doing anything but releasing novelty track sets for little kids and not jumping into the growing market of adult die cast racing. have you heard anything about their future plans?

A fine question--my take on it is Mattel is busy with making money hand over fist with the track sets they already produce. Retooling for open lane track is a huge capital investment on their part in an attempt to appeal to a smaller market and the shareholders might not be keen on that direction. Another question is why isn't Adventure Force/Crash Racers putting out packs of straight pieces as a standalone purchase? They already have the tooling and wouldn't that be a huge help to track builders?

Thanks for your reply, Chris. Well a mystery to me. The hobby is growing by the minute and I reckon if Mattell joined in it would grow exponentially. I think they're missing out. Keep up the great races.@@Chris_Hood

@@GodsOnlyGospelI don’t think the people who build tracks really want Mattel’s involvement. They’d figure out a way to ruin it. Besides, it gives these small businesses like Spool Heads and Slanman Customs an opportunity to cater to a specific market. I’m sure they stay pretty busy designing, creating and producing pieces for tracks all over.

Daniel MG car here, darn we got blocked off at the end of 2 races. That really hurt us!! Good luck to the winners! Maybe next time!

Really enjoy the track layout. Fastest guy wins. Not too much wrecking. Can’t complain. Can’t wait to see the rest.

Great set of races, especially by the Chase family. I'm sure they did well, if not win over at one of 3Ds Botmakers tracks. Looking forward to the rest of the series on this great track.

Definitely made the absolute most of the studio space for this track build--no way at all to get it higher or longer! Rather fitting for the first mail-in event, I think!

Gr8 Racing among some of the best builders in Diecast Racing today! Congratulations going out to The Chase Family Racing for a pretty impressive run today!

I was so caught up in the racing excitement on my first viewing I forgot to spot the Spool Heads portions of the course. Looks like all the open lane turns are Spool Heads design here. No one spun out of control on those, just on the three wide Sizzler/Fat Track at the end, so this is a great advertisement for Russell's wonderful work!

Great stuff! This should be an excellent tournament.

Great racing. I like the track set up on this one. That merge on the final straight will bring some great future moments. Chase Family Racing seem to have a rocket there. Well raced by all. Look forward to the next round 🏁

#BatBus 😆Not the first Hot Wheels High I've seen Bolo build! Just as today we have racing hosts not allowing entries of the Mitsubishi EVO and Cadillac V16, within a couple years max, I wager you'll see another hashtag crop up, #BanTheIPace I say build what you want if the rules allow, however today we saw an inkling of how competitive the new Jaguar is, and if that trend continues, I see some folks getting pretty salty about it!

I was thrilled from the beginning to see the I-Pace enter the mainline offerings and knew it would catch fire in the hobby. Some builders delete the rear spoiler and others don't, perhaps folks are still figuring out the best strategies for the car. Endcount was blazing a trail out there, _SUPER_ happy for him!!!

I don't know if the timing works out exactly, but is R-Lo's car the exact same one he sent to eP Videos? Nah, probably not, but both entries are extremely alike, LOL

My stop watch was showing the races lasting 30+ seconds is there a different way the races are being timed?? Anyway I believe we will see a sub 15 when the cars with FTE wheels and better control get their turns.

They are slowed down to half speed. Full speed would just be a blur. You can always set your playback speed to 2x and see what real time looks like.

Why does the race track split the 4 cars? More excitement if all 4 cars racing together

Great racing, really exciting track! I noticed with your current mode of rotation not every car gets to race each other on the split part of the track. Car 1 never gets to race with car 3 for example.

😄with basically every other host using grams for weight measurement, it *is* a little weird hearing ounces here. I got over it fairly quickly, at least until reading your comment!

113 grams max and 4 inches or less in length, l believe. Other than that I think it’s open.
