Butterflies are one of my favorites!🙋♀️✌️🙏👍👋💜💜💜
Great projects here, Barbara! I'm pretty sure that you can give your paper a good crisp fold, and position your die so the fold is not cut. I can cut 2 layers of card stock with my sizzix and the thinner dies like you showed at the first. I love the idea of cutting them that way, and surely will be cutting some right away for a journal I'm gifting to my niece! Thank you for this lovely presentation! Hugs!

I also fold my paper over, but the trick for me is that I place the top plate just below the part of the die that would cut the two pieces apart. That way, I don't have to be careful about how far I roll the paper/die through the machine.

BlaizC smart girl!! 😊👍🏻❤️
Good tips. If you don’t have the butterfly die and matching embossing folder (or any die/folder set), you can still get a similar effect by using any embossing folder you have. You can either cut out the shape, then put it inside the folder and run it through, or you can emboss the paper first, then choose what part of the embossing you want to cut from, place your die in that spot, and run it through the machine. There are so many gorgeous embossing folder designs these days, and any of them will really enhance die cut shapes, tags, or pockets.

Clever tips and such inspiration, Barbara! Thank you⚘
A tip for intricate dies that I learned recently is to use a dryer sheet between the die and paper. Used the ones that have been through the dryer as a new one will be too sticky. It makes an amazing difference in getting the intricate dies out intact.

Love this! Currently, I have to store my die cut contraption up and less out of reach than I'd like, so I don't use it as often as I could. You've inspired me to pull that thing down and just spend time stockpiling and being creative with it. It typically feels like such a utilitarian device, but this makes it more fun.

kzread.info/dash/bejne/nYWswdSEhdrQo7Q.html 💡💻🖨Go to this link, it will save you so much time with those tiny dies. You'll see the many you tubers whom are using dryer sheets for the intricut dies! When you run through with sheet all the paper bits of paper adhere to dryer sheet... so no pokey tool needed. Feel free to look up more recent videos, because I think they have made or thought of a better or faster way. I don't yet own a die cut machine, but because I junk journal see them and hope to get one. I hope this helps, I know everyone doing it is amazed. The dryer sheet actually becomes something you can use as art too, the negative space on your tiny holes in die wafer are left perfectly on the sheet.

Melissa Fancelli- Cox thank you Melissa. I’m sure it works great. I’m not sure we even have dryer sheets here in Austria as dryers are not that common. I will check. But I love my new tool.

I have followed you for awhile but haven't got to watch much of anyone I follow. But I watched 4 of yours...just now realized you were not in the states. I paused it when I heard you say you had a tool...left my link and comment. I was picturing those pokey tools that take forever, and are annoying... but when I hit play and saw your tool it is actually newer and way better. Only pro to dryer sheets woukd be no clean up and the pieces are left exactly where cut. Have a wonderful week🙂
