Its ridiculous how some people paint this as bad or generic. Have you stopped hearing and finally started listening? This ballad is a masterpiece and I always come back. Still in 2021, more than a decade later. It is simple, simply touching, a very special moment. And it means so much to me and many. The performance with the background singers is beautiful. Classy, timeless, stunning. This aged like the finest wine in the Eurovision cellar.

well... it is generic and it feels like lullaby, but that is the charm of it for some people, and those might be the reason you like it. I personally don't care much about these kind of songs, but I'm happy to know there are people that love this!

Great writeup. It's quite a remarkable song. The version in the Norwegian final was even better in my opinion, it was less polished and more dynamic. Anyways, nice to realize someone else shares my thoughs.

Discovered his 2020 album on Spotify this week. Can't stop listening to it, such beautiful music!

Let's take a minute to apreciate that in here he was nearly 23 and now he is 35... Like HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT SO LONG HAS PASSED AND YET SO LITTLE!?!?!

This song is very special for me, Didrik is such a talented artist I am glad I know, he has one of the best voices I have ever heard. This song is one of my favourite of all the time, and I just cannot understand how it was so low appreciated, to me is the best. Norwegian entry and host's entry ever, he is one of my biggest idols and will be for ever, my absolutely winner!!!!)))))

Was great song but couldn't hold emotions and and was out if key had problems with voice shaking and struggling with sond half song 'pity was beautfull song and he really skilled what in rest part of song he catch correct sound . A beautiful song in a very weak performance. Diedrik's performance in the Norwegian pre- selections was powerful and overwhelming. On stage at Eurovision it sounded terrible. Too bad.

Why did Norway select this poor guy instead of Maria Arredondo?

This has to be one of the worst host entries ever. It's just too generic, despite the good performance. (Also, Didrik Solli-Tangen is the most Norwegian-sounding name ever XD)
