DIDN'T EXPECT THIS IN KUALA LUMPUR (ASIA'S NYC?)

I didn't expect Kuala Lumpur to be like this! Today I went exploring around Malaysia's capital (Asia's NYC?) and discovered an eco forest, went on the monorail through the city to Bukit Bintang and Pavilion shopping mall and tried some Malaysian food, drinks, and desserts for the first time.

    1. KL is our NY. Putrajaya is our D.C. Genting is our Vegas. Melaka is our Colonial Williamsburg. Penang is our Silicon Valley. Langkawi is our Hawaii. 2. Ipoh could have been our Orlando. 3. The islands off Johor and Tioman can be planned to be our Carribean. The coast between Kuantan and K Terengganu can be our Riviera. If only the politicians have some vision.

No shades to NYC but KL is a lot cheaper, lower income inequality, less homeless, better roads, better public transportation, better town planning, and cleaner streets than NYC. All KLites enjoy a lot of subsidies, stipends, housing incentives for lower income, universal healthcare, etc. It’s not the best city in the world for sure, but it’s better than a lot of cities for these aspects.

In the English language, curry is a style of cooking. It means "cooked with a spicy sauce". Maksudnya hampir sama macam gulai. Ayam yang digulaikan = curried chicken. Therefore, grammatically, curry is correct because the meat is cooked in a spicy sauce. For Malaysians, rendang/kari/masak lemak are the names of the dishes. In English, curry refers to both the rempah kari and cara masakan.

I’ve been visiting KL 5 times and still I am not bored of the city. Yes the food in the mall food court is a bit expensive compared to the outside. I guess maybe because of the shop rental. For me I still loves going to mall food court especially when it’s very hot outside. Thanks for sharing the video and hope to watch your next one soon. Take care and stay safe. Cheers!

If u can bake scone, i recommend u to open up a small cafe around KL and I'm pretty sure it will be a hit in town as it's owned by a British.

Hi Skye. I've been watching your videos for a while now and to be honest I think that you haven't been around much except in the city centre. Find a local friend and travel around for a bit outside of KL.

Malaysia is SMACK right on the Equatorial Line so itz summer 365 days with tropical rain. Thatz why we wear T-shirt, short pants and slippers to banks, parks, shopping centres, cinemas, restaurants, etc. One more thing recognized by all KZread bloggers who visited Malaysia ... don't try to loose weight here, it won't work. You can try one new dish per day and eat for life without repeating it.
