Shout out to the legendary Architect Helmut Jahn. He designed the triptastical tunnel/moving walkway that connects Chicago O'Hare Int'l Airport's Concourse B and C in the UA terminal. We've all (hopefully) traveled through that masterpiece of public art on a connecting flight. But anyways, that is the fella who designed the cool background, behind which Diddy changed musical history. RIP Helmut Jahn and also to whoever that fella is that Diddy is singing about (teeheehee trollin' ya). We have the top rated art museum in the world here in Chicagoland, but gosh darn, that tunnel always amazed me as a lad, and by gum, I may proclaim it my favorite piece of art in Chicago. Take that, Grant Wood, Jean Dubuffet, and most of all, Frank Gehry. He knows what he did. He besmirched me. I challenged him to a duel. He accepted, then fled the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the state in which we conflicted, making him a persona non grata to Kentucky, and if he ever steps foot on their territory again, I am legally obliged to my dignity via three very hard flicks or taps to his testes. Oh, Helmut Jahn also designed the CTA Blue Line station at O'Hare, which is probably now most famous for the train that came barreling in and off the tracks then, I believe, quite literally up the stairs/escalator.
