The many episodes that was completely reshot was the pilot episode, Down The Mine produced in the early 1980s in which it was successful and had simpler, fewer characters, and flatter lighting. As of right now, footage of the pilot has never been seen other than short clips used as stock footage in the final episode and Thomas’s whistle.

Aw man these episodes of movies and shows would have probably been really good

Why do that? Go back in time and keep the original series alive

Well jack and the pack did appear in the great discovery

The Lost episode with air by Nick 3:07 you could literally see Nick

There was also cancelled sequel to Thomas and the Magic Railroad which we know very little about - most likely it was going to be the original circus rescue idea. Also why didn’t you go in to more detail on The Adventures of Thomas. And for Jack and the Pack coming back in The Brenner era, I believe it was a bunch of fan requests.

Originally when developing Thomas’s first cinematic outing, Britt Allcroft wanted the film to be a rescue story where a circus comes to Shining Time. An evil ringmaster was going to kidnap Mr Conductor in favour for a magic act and Thomas, Percy and James would’ve saved the day by leaving Sodor to rescue Mr C.

Did you know when they had storytimes on Thomas and Friends they would basically read The Railway Series books I saw that not only that when I was in school I Saw The Railway Series books Thomas down the mine fun fact that use a pilot in that episode
