I was on a walk ones and I person in a yard didnt see me and her cane corso ran out the garden and barking at me.. luckily i know the breed and aint affald so I just stod still and said hello sweety... and she came running out sorry sorry and got he dog that now was licking My hand 😂😂😂

I love my CC/Pit mix. He is affectionate and empathetic. He’s the baby of the pack. He’s truly my guard dog. He’s protective over my nieces and me. He’s also great emotional support. I have a service dog, Otis, but Bentley is right there when my pain becomes unbearable. He and Otis will work in concert to aid me. However because of his protective nature, Big Ben could NEVER be a service dog. They make great companions and are highly intelligent. I rescued him. Have 3 ..robbed twice with all types of alarms cameras etc...haven't had any issues since we brought cane Corsos home...have 4 grandkids they are great with friends no so with the uninvited

If you live in the suburbs it may be difficult to own it. They are very protective, climb fences and trees, they defend their family by any means

Impressive powerful dogs .. but NOT for a novice dog owner .. this breed needs a very experienced owner who will give the right training.. If not given this .. then this dog might end up as a Deadly Weapon .

It's actually not done for appearances, but to protect the dog from having those parts ripped off or gravely injured in a fight. I've heard breeders say they've seen littermates rip an ear off of a sibling during play because of how powerful these dogs are. Many guardian breeds find themselves fighting wolves and coyotes that will absolutely not hesitate to bite either part of the dogs' bodies so cropping them takes away that advantage. I'm not saying I entirely agree with the practice, but these are the reasons this has been traditionally done.
