Go read the 2013 study by the South African medical Journal> Lemba origins revisited. It seems only the Buba clan ( men) were thought to have origins in the Levant. Why don't the women have this supposed origins?

Where does the name Lemba come from?

We so called Dinka (we call ourselves Monyjang meaning men of men, Lords of Men, or Masters of Humanity) and brothers so called Nuer (Naath) are Hebrews. Our cultural and religious practices are pure Hebrew. Two British anthropologists did a cultural study on us, and were surprised that our culture and religion resembles the ancient Hebrews. According to our oral history our fathers came from Judea and were exiled into Egypt and then exiled into Northern Sudan (land of Cush) and during the Middle Ages they were exiled into Southern Sudan where we now rule ourselves after thousands years of hell: read Isaiah 11:11, Isaiah 18, Zephaniah 3:10, and Amos 9:7 all speaks about us and other Hebrew tribes in East Africa.

That's stupid for a lot of reasons.

Anybody can enlighten us of the link of the Karanga people to the Lembas and if any of their clans like the Gumbo clan are connected to the Lemba in any way. Whilst visiting Chinyika village along the Nyazvidzi River some time back, I saw very Hebrewish tendencies.

Orthodox jews seem to think they own israelite heritage, you dont, if the larger israelite world accepts them as israelites then thats what they are. Youve given the ethiopian jews enough of a hard time.

Judaism is not based on genes..no question the Lemba have roots to the Bnei Yisrael..I hope the Lemba people and all lost tribes come back to our Nation..not just in words but through formal conversion as full fledged Jews..this way our peoples will become one again

The Lembas are not Israelite nor Jewish. Those who have converted to Judaism in recent years are gerim and hence Jewish, but nevertheless, they're not of lost Israelites. It's time to stop pandering to fabricated legendary myths and group delusions that were installed in them by evangelical missionaries a century ago. Some are partially descendants of Yemeni Arab men who were present in the region and were practicing folk Islam before they were evangelized into Christianity, which explains why they don't eat pork.Most are christians and some are Muslim, a few have converted to one of the branches of Judaism that are not necessarily accepted by Orthodox authorities. Wearing a modern taalit acquired from Ashkenazi Jews or drawing a star of david doesn't prove anything.
