@@dontnoable What's worse? Kind of knowing it, for decades, and ignoring it, because of an abusive relationship. All we can do it our best. I'm only fully Vegan for 2.5 years, after 39.5 years lacto-ovo. I lied to myself. If you are spared that, then count yourself as blessed. I was raised believing we needed animal products, or else we would die of deficiencies. I'm 53. One aunt owned a dairy. I lied to myself about not needing to kill cows for milk, while every single male calf became veal. Yeah. That's why I don't shit on people for not instantly going Vegan. We are taught and live lies. But sometimes, we learn. Sometimes, we grow. With every stretch into the unknown, we can become better than who we were. It isn't a contest between others and ourselves. It's a contest between ourselves of today, versus yesterday. None of us will ever achieve total nonviolence, Ahimsa. We drive cars, on tires vulcanised with tallow. We smash thousands of bugs. We lose sight of where our clothes are made, while child slaves work in China. All you can do is all you can do. Do your best. Don't wear yourself out for existing in current, common culture. Forgive yourself. And then, as you are able, rise above your own pain, and lift others with you. Share recipes. Share YT content providers (see my subs for examples). Don't hate yourself for what you've done in ignorance, or even if it takes time to move on up. Society doesn't make this easy. Other Vegans will sometimes shit on you for not going far enough, fast enough. Fuck haters. You be you. Feel free to use my channel as a resource to find more information. Be well, and always remember, you matter. Your every bite can help. Together, we will change our world for the better. Do you hear me? Don't hate yourself. Love who you want to be. Always reach beyond who you fear you can't become. And if you make missteps? Honey, always know, there is always tomorrow, and you are not alone. I am an uncle to many. I have made many mistakes. I am still here, and so are you. You will outlive me, and someday, you will give this advice to other, younger folks, some not born yet. Feel that responsibility. Embrace it. @@injunsun I'm not defeated by it, it just goes to show how powerful the egg, dairy and meat industry is at lobbying and getting their terrible products to be seen as normal or even healthy, when many cultures around the world have existed on plant based (or almost plant based diets) for thousands of years. Also it's ok I'm now aware of what the vegan philosophy actually is now, so criticism from single issue vegans or ableist or classist vegan doesn't mean anything to me.

Someone says a video touches their heart, causes one to avoid cruelty, and your response is cruelty? Notice, no insults here. Oh, I want to. But I'm not like you. Being horrible to a stranger isn't my first impulse. Why is it yours? Who hurt you? And why pass on your pain? Maybe your _genuine_ answer can help someone else. But I know your kind. I don't know why they don't let them to grow old enough even to be eaten by humans, let alone allowing them to lead their life. Human males might face the same fate some day as they would be purposeless when women are capable to do everything a man does. Killed in industrial grinders that are only used for unsuccessful eggs. There are laws against the mistreatment of animals. Maybe you should get some of your videos from a country where the laws you are “advocating” for are already there. If you’re going to fight this you need to get the word out where it’s happening and not trying to make a bunch of Americans feel bad for eating meat like a normal person.
