I don't really think it was a mistake, or at least, was on purpose. Personally, I think it shows that Benedict's character doesn't really appreciate the pengwings.

He actually does struggle saying it, he actually did the Voice over for a penguin documentary and it's the same. They discuss this with him on a British talk show.

If you think it's bad here he did a documentary and messed it up every time

It’s from the penguin documentary Benedict did . The just let him mispronounce the word penguin ( cuz they thought it was hilarious) !! 😄😄😄

I think the way he says “Penguin” is unique.

I just watched that movie last night. Because I did that for my uncle who passed away few days ago. My dad and my uncles are like the penguins.
