@@noname-rh2cb Rudeus isn't the protagonist of the world. He gets involved in important stuff but events have been in motion for centuries and millennia, and won't be resolved within his lifetime. The author plans to write a sequal set after Rudeus' death to continue the story and everything in it that was left unresolved.

Mushoku Tensei's lore is so deep and complex. That was a crime how condensed it was in first volumes. To this day there are a lot of stuff that I don't know about it

I love the world building of this series. It establishes rules and history that help us relate to it and comprehend the powers and power levels of the characters, as well as gives us some additional goals/obstacles to wonder if Rudeus will over come in the future. It's very well thought out and original enough to stay interesting but similar enough to other stories to feel familiar but not generic. I particularly like that magic and abilities are not merely summed up as "say the magic word" and you activate a skill. And that everything isn't controlled by a "system" and lazy hand waving like most other Isekai. I'm almost done with the 2nd LN and while it's nice having more information so far it cannot capture the magic or cause as much emotional impact as the anime can (that's pretty typical of LN vs anime for me)

I get how you feel. In my case, I feel like I have been enjoying reading and imagining scenarios myself as I read through the ln, though I have a lot to thank the anime for helping me set a starting point where I can easily imagine the characters. Nevertheless, in the case of Mushoku Tensei (and recently Spice & Wolf) I find myself drowning in the text before realizing how fast I read because I am just that engrossed in the worlds and its details.

Void World was simply the leftover space from bringing the six unstable and incomplete worlds together as a cube. It's "just" the space enclosed by the faces of the cube. The other five worlds are physically still there, but they're uninhabitable for sapient life. Apparently they were still able to bring animals and monsters from those worlds.

I beg for when I delve into being a proper adult and after I can relax and be comfortable with life in like 10 years, more stories as deep as mushoku tensei come out

For example what if when man-god was saying how dragon god hates him he could have snuck something in along the lines of "back when our world were split" or something even more discreet. And they would have the convenient excuse of Rudy getting pulled back to reality to fall back on and not have to elaborate too much further

This kind of anime should be long running, not season, that way the hype won't faded especially if the filler is full of lore.

It's actually a story of a hero. While rudeus wasn't the 1 who will kill hitogami, he will be the only friend and brother that orsted ever had 1000% trust on. And Nanahoshi will be the 1 who guide her lover as the hero at the later end of the story. 6 faced world created perfectly

highly unlikely to be honest, if you are expecting a souls like. There's a reason why they took Berserk as an Inspiration and hired the guy behind A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) and Mushoku Tensei is no where near with the kind of lore that these 2 titles have. Even the magic system is kind of lazy especially rune magic. So we can just say that it's just going to be a dream

Mushoku Tensei is a one of few animes that actually left an impact on me. It would rival Your Lie in April. The character progression, the scenes, the lore, the deep messages and profound philosophy. Not to mention its realism and how your choices affect the outcome of the world. Even on the anime alone, it has so much depth. The animation isnt anything special but its comforting. Actually I believe the art choice is a good thing because it forces the audience to really pay attention to the characters, speech and language.

@@chERISma It's a chinese webnovel i recommend if you like dark eastern fantasy, deep lore and history, unique power sytem, plot twists, foreshadowing and touches on philosophy. It's about a man who defies fate (literally) and wants to seek eternal life by any means necessary, if helping people gets him closer to his dream he will do that or if he has to do unspeakable acts like sacrificing people he will do that.

Too bad the s2 cutting here and there... I don't know but the feel of the anime just isn't the same

wow I never knew about this.

Technically it was 6 worlds, the world was called the six sided world, but there was a "center" each world having its own god, including the center. But due to the actions of an individual, the other worlds were destroyed and desegregated hence why so many species exist in the same space during rudi's time.

And turns out hitogami was the real villain in all of this in the end

I got that info from volume 2 where rudeus reads a textbook of the worlds history. He mentions a barren god existing in its respective world there, but thats the only mention of such entity (that i know so far). It was from a paperback ln.

There are a lot of sites you can read the MT manga on, but I recommend reading the light novels instead since there are more details there and less cut content.

This was the history textbook version of the history so things will definitely be different from the truth. I got this from volume 2 when Rudeus was reading a history book, so things must change later on the LN, but that would be spoilers.

Tbh the part of being an isekai is quite important. I do understand how in some animes the previous life lacks importance, especially when it comes to characterization, so in those cases being an isekai isnt exactly a necessity, but that doesnt really apply to MT, partly because of how those mistakes and regrets reflect on rudy, but the presence of people from the other world explains several plot points
