😮WOW. She said "When we got to America I couldn't imagine sending my kids away to school.....there was a strength in being together" . That is so beautiful. Most people can't imagine life without sending their kids away, or taking a bunch a trips to get away from their children. The joy that she has in being with her family is so beautiful. They speak so highly of her because they could sense the genuine joy she had in being there. She wanted to be there. Thats so beautiful. Her children rise up and call her blessed. I aspire to be like that for my husband and children.

My husband and I just got back from seeing the movie. Oh how it drew me in. We homeschooled our kids, I’m going to another state on Wed to be there for our 6th grandchild’s birth. I confess in the early 90s we were still listening to Keith Green, 2nd chapter of Acts, Honeytree and Don Francisco but in 2000 our girls were asked at a resort we were staying at who their favorite Christian singers were and they decided they needed to look around and I have been on a 24 year journey doing just that myself. Listening to Christian worship helps in all the struggles of life. It's the best movie I have seen since the Sound of Music! and knowing how this is so based in fact is uplifting!!! Marti Ross

Rebecca St. James was one of my favorite Christian artists as a teen. I love that they have shared their story. The way this Mom owns her mistakes with her youngest is so amazing. And it hasn't affected their relationship. Such a Testament to her and her youngest daughter's trust in God. Truly remarkable family! Loved the movie Unsung Hero! Love this interview. Well done Candace! 👏❤

My husband I I saw the movie last night and it was FABULOUS! The acting was some of the best I’ve ever seen and the story is nothing short of a miracle! We are Christians but my husband was hesitant to go because he said that typically the acting in Christian movies isn’t great. However, he was blown away at the quality of the acting, the camera shots, the direction and the production in general! Wow! I hope people go to see this!!!!

I have learned about purpose with God. When you only focus on you; there is no purpose but when you focus on others there is great purpose. There is a lot of need in our world. Volunteer work is always a great way to find purpose. You will find that people value when you help and that feeling of not having a plan or purpose will disappear.

Helen, I recently watched a video on Revive our Hearts -- study about hospitality, " You're welcome here." The most recent video had Erin David interviewing a young woman from Texas who had lymes disease and she shared a little about how it affected her profoundly from a young age (11?) Maybe your youngest daughter could connect with this lady. I also know of a few ladies who know the Lord here in my town, who are on the same journey but it happened to them after they were 20ish. Maybe your daughter already has community where you live to encourage her, but if not let her know not to be afraid to reach out. Community is so important in the healing process. - Respectfully, Andrea

I saw it in a theater last week. As a husband and father, I am concerned at how the Dad was vilified. So he was depressed for a time due to not being able to work and provide for his family. Most men have a God-given desire to provide, so that was understandable. And he told Rebecca the TRUTH about the cut-throat "Christian" music business. So what did he have to apologize for? Meanwhile, the Mom was portrayed as assaulting him with physical violence - which is never OK. What am I missing here?
