Did we need bonding agent or a primer?

Did we need bonding agent or a primer? No not with this particular project as we washed twice with TSP since it was in a smokers home. Our test spot where we applied milk paint adhered beautifully without any peeling so we went ahead and applied Stone Fence milk paint. After it was dried, we added a little bit of white #milkpaint into the remaining Stone Fence and did another very light coat using our WALL BRUSH, or rather, a #limewash. A 2-tone colour effect was perfect for this project. A quick application of hemp oil was applied prior to distressing to ensure no dust. We call this our “dustless distress” technique. Another quick, wipe down with the hemp oil rag to give it a bit of a buff and remove any distressing residue. We would have put an application of our furniture wax if we wanted to increase the sheen and add even more protection, which we definitely would have if this was going to be placed in a kitchen or bathroom area. Only half of the 330gm bag was used to paint this large armoire. What do you think? . . . #homesteadhousemilkpaint #paintedfurniture #limewashpaint #limewashedoak
