There were a few more obvious missed calls that you missed on Michigan pass plays that I saw on broadcast that you will see when you go back and take a look at Michigan's 18 pass attempts. I think the passes fell incomplete anyway, so maybe that is why you did not include them. Refs missed more calls that harmed UW, but not sure what the outcome would have been if they did make the right calls. I won't say that Michigan did not deserve that win, they got off to a hot start that made it hard for UW to comeback against a great defense

Well they got beat by the better team however as a college football fan I watched the game and yes there were alot of missed calls even the sports casters on ESPN noted the holds and said , " Well the refs are just letting them play the game" So did it make Washington lose no but had all the game been called the way it should have been it would have been closer. Michigan 5 penalties for 45 yards . Washington 5 penalties for 30 yards . Ummm ok math definitely supports your theory. Washington lost PERIOD. Time to grow up, put your big boy pants on and take responsibility. Holding happens on virtually every single play by every single team. sometimes it's called and most of the time it's not. Fact is Washington made a ton of mistakes with overthrows and drops and turnovers that cost them dearly and is horrible when you can't run the ball. 303 yards rushing for Michigan to 46 rushing yards for Washington. Washington turned the ball over twice with interceptions That's why Washington lost.

Can you show the holds Washington got away with. Michigan dropped mamy passes, didn’t even need to blitz. Theu played a safe defense and still dominated Washington's line.

@Angela_2819

😂 That's right. Because one missed call causes all those things. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Saying the penalties were even is about as amateur it gets when analyzing in this game. Its the timing of the penalties that matter. The two most egregious calls were the holding at 9:01 which was called and the non holding call at 10:45 - literally changed the entire momentum of the game. Washington gets that pass off, it changes everything, but nope called back and ended up punting. The very first play of the next possession by Michigan was the non holding call which was clearly more of a hold than the one called on Washington. Chunk play, put them in FG range, changed the entire momentum. And the game was over right there. Timing matters and Washington got screwed in that exchange. In saying all that. Michigan out played them and those two early explosive runs and the additional 200 yards rushing were the real killers. Washington doesn't give those up, they have a better chance and avoid being in such a precarious situation later in the game. Good game Michigan. Clean and dominant.
I think the only blatant hold was the Orji run but yeah I don’t even know if the DT could make that play so that maybe why they didn’t call it, the rest seems clean to me, any others that weren’t clean were called. Edit: I just saw the Will Johnson one later in the video that one is a hold as well but it was very quick and harder to notice so just a missed call I believe. Good video btw. Oh yeah that last one is bad shouldn’t have been missed admittedly I saw that one live. I don’t think Washington got robbed at all they had every opportunity offensively and couldn’t convert, also Georgia would’ve been competitive in this playoffs maybe even beat Michigan but they lost to Alabama who Michigan beat so take of that what you will and FSU would lose to all 4 teams that got in IMO even if Jordan Travis was healthy.

Yes, they did. It allowed far too much contact on the receivers all game. With that said, Michigan was obviously the better team. Although Washington, if allowed to actually play has beaten team better than them all year.
There was some bad calls in the Ga. Alabama game
@powerhoursec

And I did an entire videon on that!
at 0:44, I agree that is not holding because they are mostly holding each other and the defender was not trying to fight back outside where the play goes. at 1:37, are you serious, he grabs his shoulder and spins him around, a clear hold. At 2:19, I think this is on the receiver and not on Penix. Penix throws to the open space away from the defense. watch the receiver carefully, He starts to fade towards the outside and suddenly slows way down while turning back inside at the same time Penix is throwing the ball. The throw goes to the right place if the receiver continued the path he was on right before the throw. at 3:15, yeah the defender is not making the tackle but without the hold the giant cut back lane would have been smaller or not there at all. at 5:26, the defender grabs and pulls on the helmet. Yeah, the receiver slipped first so the initial contact is a no call for me but the helmet pull was a clear penalty. at 5:54, it is an extra push out of bounds on a player who has been lifted in the air. Another clear penalty. At 7:45, maybe the ref saw the push from Odunze so saw the play as hand fighting. You have to call a penalty on the defense though when there was a fist full of jersey grabbed and tugged several times. Odunze easily catches the ball without the jersey grab and pulls. Stop blaming the Jerseys. Michigan was holding onto a fist full of jersey and tugging on both sides of the ball all game long and got away with it 90% of the time. At 9:27, The Michigan player fell pretty easily but I think it was a hold because the UW player reached with his left arm before that and restricted the rush. At 11:59, there is a 90% chance that is a sack fumble without the hold. I think it is fair to question the impact of the refs since it was beyond a missed play here and there. There was a massive and persistent issue with the refs missing easy holding calls against Michigan on at least a half dozen critical plays.
Ok now take that same energy and look for the Michigan players getting held constantly throughout the game. It can easily go both ways. The Udub Oline held like crazy

Michigan held all night long
It’s a Jim Harbaugh coached team, so of course they cheated! F’n duhhhhh!!!! Meanwhile, Pete Carroll still owns Harbaugh - in college football and in the NFL. Big Ouch!!!!!!
Why do you think they wear white gloves. Refs cant see that if there 20 to 15 feet away
True... the hold was let go by.
I believe Washington was a victim of their own making. Those uniforms were extremely loose. I’ve never seen uniforms this loose on linemen. We wore our uniforms extremely tight and slick material. We even sprayed our jerseys down with PAM spray so we didn’t get held. And surprisingly, we never got caught doing it. We smelled like precooked bread lol
It looks like Penix throws sidearm! looked kinda like Ken Stabler when he threw from pressure.
Nothing here. For the most part fans see what they want to see. The end.
If that huskies guy sacked JJ, or could of been a fumble cuz the huskies guy could of stripped the ball out of JJ the Michigan qb. Also that play made the Michigan team basically win the game. 😢

UW also had some holding calls that were let go and multiple false-starts that weren't called. not sure if all the bad calls balanced out or not but since there were multiple ones on both sides, probably didn't affect the outcome of the game significantly, especially when it's a 3 TD difference.
Was Washington robbed ??? M 34 - W13............? Please !
60 held twice, if you call it both ways, no problem, if one sided, real easy to see. The problem is, if you did not call the holding, past 5 yards, no contact by def so PI has to be called. Mich was the better team, but all those little calls going one way is going to make a difference. I wish they had a ref watching on TV and calling down saying, look you missed 5 calls on Mich. let’s even it out. You can’t win if the refs are calling it bad. You are such a homer, if a Mich player pulls the Washington player down, well no call, get a Wash guy pushing him, not holding, and it’s a flag.

This happens to Tennessee all the time. Officiating is so one sided, is crazy!! Alabama game, Mizzo game and Georgia game. It doesn't take a lot of missed calls or one sided calls to flip the momentum of a game. The refs control games all the time from the start. Trained to kill momentum of one team by getting them behind the sticks and out of a an offensive flow. FACTS!!! But, I believe in this game, Washington's QB just didn't show up, the team played underwhelmingly in a BIG game and didn't execute very well, the physicality of Michigan impacted them greatly and a few missed calls helped. But, Washington looked overrated and Michigan took advantage of the moment. It is what it is!!

If Wash gets all those 5 calls, in the 3rd Q when it was a one TD game, is this game different. Of course, the only part you want is calls that are good on both sides. I don’t care how you call the game, but make it where you are calling it on both sides. Did you ever watch the Tennessee vs Bama game in 2022, at Tenn? Horrible refs that missed at least 5 important calls that changes that game. Bama lost by 3, all 5 calls go against Bama, do you think they win. Sometimes I wonder if people actually watch the game.

Not entirely true. It was a one-possession game in the 4th quarter. If a few more calls went Washington's way, it's a close game
I think Michigan would have won even with the holding calls, but the game would have been closer. It was a good strategy by Michigan to hold the UW receivers and hope its not called (and that is what happened). I also think UW just had a bad day. That happens in sports. Congrats to Michigan.
If you go through and watch every play of any game you’re going to see missed calls. Washington didn’t have it on offense. Penix was battered. The refs let both teams play physically and aggressive and there were equal calls on both side with Michigan incurring more yardage
The play where you claim Johnson held Odunze shoulda been offensive pass interference if anything. Odunze's left hand was pushing Johnson as soon as Odunze cut inside. The grab was in response to the push and refs let that go EVERYTIME. Washington receivers were pushing off all game and were pushing off against Texas, too. That's why they're always throwing their hands up bitching for flags. Their receivers push, the DBs grab in response to the push, Washington receivers cry for flags. Sorry, losers, not today. The hold where Orji was running the ball was legit hold, but that wasn't a key play in the game and if you look at that run from the reverse angle, you'll see that the "held" player wasn't close enough to make a play on that ball by a mile. Refs let that shit go all day long on every level, college and the pros. The hold on the throw to Loveland was legit a bad miss, but that game wasn't gonna be won or lost right there. Not like I can't pick out several holds committed by Washington players that weren't called. Michigan dominated Washington on the ground - period. You want to make excuses, go ahead. You cry, we'll prepare. Zinter, all-America tackle, was out for this entire game. One of the if not THE best run blocking tackles in the country missing from the game and Michigan still man-handled Washington on the line. There, we can make excuses, too. Doesn't change any outcome.

Watch the play again. You have the order backwards. Odunze's Jersey has already been held for 2 or 3 seconds before any push. Early in the route at 7:18 I see Illegal contact by the Michigan player. He moves into the path of the receiver in off coverage and reaches out, making contact first with his right arm. That was a pathetic acting at job by the Michigan player at 7:45. There is no way a hand brushing your chest causes your entire head and neck to snap back like that. The tiny push from Oduzne was a natural reaction attempting to shake off a hold.
