My advice to new investors: Buy good companies stocks and hold them as long as they are good companies. Just do this and ignore the forecasts and market views which are at best entertaining but completely useless.

The key to big returns is not big moving stocks. It's managing risk in relationship to reward. Having the correct size on and turning your edge as many times as necessary to reach your goal. That holds true from long term investing to day trading.

I totally agree; I am 66 years old, recently retired, with approximately $1.2 million in external retirement funds. I am debt free and have very little money in retirement funds compared to the total value of my portfolio over the past three years. To be honest, I didn't do all this alone, but with the help of a financial advisor. Having one is currently the best way to trade in the stock market, especially for people nearing retirement.

People dismiss the importance of advisors until they are burned by their own emotions. I remember a couple of summers ago, following my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to assist my business stay alive, so I looked for qualified consultants and came across someone with the highest qualifications. She has helped me raise my reserve from $275k to $850k, despite inflation.

It seems everyone is still relying too heavily on the charts now. Imho, when the ETF's stepped into Crypto it changed the game. The Bitcoin Baby has been born and will grow up fast. The Crypto Market now has a rubber stamp of approval. Wall Street is in the game now and It will become the store of value we have been talking about. The rules are already changing. We would have normally had a corrective retrace by now, yet Bitcoin has been steadily rising. The name of the game is getting out with profit, but when exactly to get out this Super Cycle is going to be a tricky one. It's not about guessing the market's next move; it's about playing it smart and steady...managed to grow a nest egg of around 3.4Bitcoin to a decent 18Bitcoin in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Lukas Douglas whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

That's not the way it works. Check the tape. Rates up (bonds down) and market up. That's not a fluke. Normal market functioning. Start worrying if the 10 year yield breaks lower...not higher. If it goes higher the bull is safe.

Yesterday was the greatest short / Put setup on Q's I have ever witnessed. All Mag 7's moving to the downside around 1PM EST., NVDA slowly moving up.. then as it sold off, the $453 23 (&24th) May 24 Puts at $0.01 and $0.08 exploded into mega profit.. the 23rd Put hitting $4.00 from $0.01 on Webull US. Incredible.

Could be an island reversal too … looking at the weakness underline and the vix also island reversing as well (market is giving mixed signal the idea of flat to weak market is the best imo)

Haha. Did you hear that from a finance Prof that couldn't hack it on the street? Plenty of elite managers have proven this statement to be false with many consecutive decades of track records to prove it. However, this channel gets so bulled up and loses track of the risks. Today's outcome was a fairly obvious possibility yesterday and my primary thesis going into the day. I'm always tracking a few potential outcomes but you can't really crush it unless you get a feeling for direction and choose a side when the conditions line up with your thesis (like today).

@@Jay-be2le I don't know about 95%. Probably true if you count anyone who's ever tried it, seriously or not. Trading is not rocket science but it's definitely not easy either. Just like anything else, if you take it seriously and dedicate yourself to the craft, you're likely to succeed. If you spend like an hour a day on markets and think you're going to succeed timing them... you won't. Impossible. It's work and if you're not super passionate about it, don't bother.

Yeah, they can do whatever they want. For example, They could buy real estate but they don't. Why? Because it's actually more profitable long term to be the lender for real estate, not the owner. The part about RE being a great investment is a bit of a fairytale... Otherwise the banks would take the investment themselves and push everyone else out
