i wouldnt doubt if he sampled it, however from the perspective of a producer/musician (against the claim he sampled): 1. it is likely a common horn sample/vst 2. the melody/riff played isnt the same on each song, especially the low horn notes 3. the FX on the minecraft song are overblown and very much reverberated, while LEMONHEAD is more subtle in its reverb. 4. considering how simple the riff is, it is likely that Tyler had vague ideas of horn-based riffs with similar patterns, or played the notes in succession.

@@modestrocker1 you mean programed in midi. a "midi sample" would be something completely different. the tuba line is clearly a live recoding pitched down which yeah, could be a sample based vst (thats what you tried to say btw) but in that case it wouldn't be pitched down, it would have been the actual notes being played, unless its a super cheap sloppy vst but even kontakt factory library has the real notes. the rest of the brass sounds real, its recorded close and dry and they're super compressed, which is actually sloppy recording too. it sounds real cuz of how imperfect it is, they even drag, theyre not bar perfect. u can also tell in the difference in resonance between the same notes when they play them back to back and the offset of the different lines when they phase with each other. but technically u could do the same with a sample based vst that lets you control those parameters. they do not sound the same though if theyre vsts they are different ones and deff not a sample lol. they're the same instruments, its understandable to not have the auditive sensitivity to tell the difference.

No, not plagerised. The first sample of MC resolution in the same voice, in the Tyler song which uses the same Vamp as it's called, resolution is split between the horns and tuba with the cadance or appogiatura in the bass with the treble suspended against it, there's also rhythmic suspension that occurs as a result of this, big difference. The second example don't really use pitch in a melodic sense, well Tyler's does not the MC version so let's throw pitch away as a source of analysis. We're left with two completely different rhythms. No

@@tylerc4117 I can agree to a certain degree but this is neither plagiarism or sample but yes, were it, it would be considered a sample. But the hocket arrangement of the vamp or cliche is clearly unique for the reasons given earlier and unfortunately rhythm plays a big part because the vamp is so common and as a solitary melodic line as observed in MC, it's important when considering it as a reference, especially the second example which lacks definite pitch and tonality, your left with 4 against 3 in the same metre (so no hemiola) with MC simply 4 notes of equal division and T's 3 of 4 equal division with the third note tied evening out the bar (so no tuplets, all even quavers and semiquavers) not to mention T later suspends this rhythmically with syncopation, not saying Tyler doesn't sample just this is an original composition not a reference

probably not a sample, more likely just using a synth/generated brass sound that both the songs use. it would be hilarious if it was sampled tho

This isn't sampling. They're different type of horns, Tyler can't get a higher quality from the "sample" if that was the case, he got his own horns and more melodies. The Minecraft song already in existence hasn't been sampled by Tyler.

To anyone in the comments trying to explain why this is not a sample: This is not that serious. Obviously he did not sample a Minecraft song. It's just kinda funny that there are similarities. Please take a deep breath. Thank you.

People saying “not this can’t be it it sounds slightly different the brass is better” obviously don’t know what an interpolation is. This is INDEFINITELY where Tyler got the idea and I’d be so shocked to hear otherwise, with how Tyler is as a person it shouldn’t be crazy to think he’d sample Minecraft lmao
