Did the Irish Really Invade Canada in 1866?

Join me as I share my reaction to the little known period in History where the U.S. Civil War indirectly led to the Irish invading Canada in 1866, 1870 and 1871 in an Episode known as the Fenian Raids. Learn about this little-known moment in history and how it affected the relationship between these two countries. This is a fascinating piece of history that deserves more attention!

Hey there. Please let me know your thoughts on this video. I used AI as a trial just to see if People like the results. This would allow me, outside of my reaction videos, which I will continue to do myself to generate videos on other interesting topics more quickly. Reaction videos unfortunately take a long time to release between recording, editing and dealing with copyright claims. This type of video would allow me to produce more content in a more rapid way. So please let me know your thoughts on same. Just on the topic in the video itself, this is one of my favourite pieces of not very well known history and deals with the multiple Irish Invasions of Canada between 1866 and 1871 in an attempt to hold Canada as ransom against the British Empire so that they would release their control of Ireland. The invading Irish Army was comprised entirely of Irish Veterans of the US Civil War from both the Northern and Southern sides. As always, please leave a like, comment, share and subscribe. You can support me on Pateron at the link below, where you can also get early access to all of my videos, access to my full length reactions and exclusive reactions such as Band of Brothers. You can also get a 7 day free trial to check it out! patreon.com/JaysRetroReactions?Link

Wow This is AI .... I thought it was real until I heard the Pronunciation gaps without lip sync failure. This guy is actually a robot an AI produced 2D Human. Still, I wonder how much fact is in this, would be cool if it's true. I wonder who exactly produces it.

Hey John - this is 100% historical fact. This is my first time using AI. The scripts are written by myself - it's just the avatar that's fake as it saves me time having to record myself and edit for short videos. This 7 min video if I did it from scratch like I normally do would take at least a day. With the AI, about 4 hours. So a big difference for smaller videos that are not reaction based and just want to tell a story. However, as I said, the research, the facts, the scripts etc. are all done by me and if you watch the full video, you will see the link to the book that documents the entire story which is far more complex then I outlined here. I also show a picture of Colonel John O'Neills real grave stone in Nebraska which has enscribed the summary of his adventures in Canada

Thanks Norman for watching the video and for the comment - I think I remembered to put Scottish Gaelic subs on there - I usually do for all the Celtic Languages, Irish, Welsh, Scots and Breton. Anyways, perhaps so but it's still a mess as we would inherit about a million people who don't want to be there. Time is the only thing that will get rid of that but if they violently resist - it's just going to create a whole new round of troubles. It's too small as well to be let out on it's own. It's just a mess of history. You guys may have similar issues if you get independence as well and if you do that may help the situation in the North a lot as that kind of blows the Northern Irish Unionists reason for staying in the Union out of the water.

Thanks mate for watching. I'm actually Irish and used AI to create this video which I do from time to time when I don't have time to record. See my other videos. The issue with AI is that it's all done in a US accent so impossible to get it to say Celtic right. I even typed the script with a Keltic and it still came out that way. Anyways glad you enjoyed it. If you're into history there's another video out tomorrow on one of Ireland greatest soldiers who defeated Napoleon. The Duke of Wellington. Born and bred in Dublin but just people think he's English for some reason. Enjoy the rest of your evening
