I lived at Ruby Ridge in Idaho. My husband, an active law enforcement officer was watching the FBI, ATF and other local law enforcement departments actions and he was worried. He packed up our daughter and me and we left until it was over. They actually used our property as a staging ground. I can say with confidence that Mr & Mrs Weaver were not a threat to the community.

I remember

The Attica prison siege went the same way in 1971. The government killed all of the prison guards held hostage and many of the prisoners. Escalation when it was all but over because of Egos.

The ATF wouldn't have lost anyone if they had just been civil about serving their warrants. If you see armed men, dressed like some kind of combat ninjas climbing all over your house, would you not take measures to defend your people and property? Koresh's only demand in the negotiations was to be allowed to speak to the press, to tell his side of the events. Janet Reno wouldn't allow it. So they burned the place to the ground to shut that message off.

Things would have turned out very differently if President Trump were there

Charlie, I have been a police officer in the Phoenix area for almost 25 years now. I have written and served numerous search warrants and served as our swat team commander for a time. Any police officer is allowed to use lethal force as prescribed by law and is tested by Graham VS Connor. Coordinating with medics and locating the closest trauma center is standard protocol for any search warrant briefing. Was this a political stunt? Absolutely Should never have happened. As you mentioned, it was for documents that could have been obtained by coordinatoon between the two agencies. 100% politically motivated.

@@beccagee5905 I've worked with just about all the initial agencies and they do some odd things. Whenever, I've been on warrants with them, we'd almost always use our own tact team. When we did joint operations, their tact team was only there for a very short time and then then plain clothes guys would come in just like our detectives.

Might be me but the audio it totally out of sync. Reloaded multiple times, multiple browsers.

The FBI and DOJ have gone rouge.

With orders like they had I don't see anything good coming out of it.

Waco was the first time my husband and I ever saw ATF people in the field and we couldn't believe it. Ask yourselves, when and why was that agency, who was mostly in charge of licenses prior to this, given that power?

Didnt the ATF just shoot a man in the early morning? They even covered his ring camera and cut the electricity. Cannot remember the gentleman's name.

Same thing with (David) Malinowski. Highest paid government employee in Arkansas. They (ATF) had a chance to carry out search warrant the week before it happened but he wasn't home. The next week they killed the power, came into his house without warning, and shot him in the head as soon as he shot at them. Oh yeah, not a one was wearing a body cam, even the police. All because this guy owned a lot of guns and was selling some of them, right? You can't trust anyone in government. Need to do away with ATF, and a few other departments!
