Gita Press original Ramayan & Mahabharat full volumes are a must read for all Hindus. The description of flora, fauna, topography, geography are just tremendous! The excerpts should be included in the textbooks for kids. Or at least every Hindu parent should read himself and for his kids! Why can’t we just accept that these are legends and just move on? After every scientific\geographic finding we come up with some theory to link it to these legends.

If you just search on utube for a video done by an Indian mountain/spiritual travel blogger you might find it. I watched it a few months ago and was pleasantly surprised.

Only fools and educated fools will believe this timeline. If Ramayana is really that old... why is it written in classical sanskrit and not in much older language like vedic sanskrit. Classical sanskrit writings only appeared in literatures around 500BC. Vedic sanskrit goes as far back as 1500BC and possible further. So tell me why Ramayana and Mahabharata and Puranas are written in classical sanskrit. Why there's no evidence of it in Vedic sanskrit?

Well, archeologists have shown that early man took a big journey and crossed the oceans and became Polynesians. So they have many oral traditions. Similarly, we as early humans must have traveled.
