Over the last 3 or 4 years I've watched quite a lot of content from Bali, and in just your first two videos, you've shown a completely different side of Bali that I hadn't seen, and for all the right reasons. Your energy and positivity comes across in buckets and huuuuuge thumbs up for intervening in the taxi dispute at the hotel. Koris Restuarant in Poppies 2 Lane only reopened a few months ago. It was closed during the pandemic. I was in Bali in July and August this year.

Ofcourse I made it to the end. Great to see a buzzin' Bali I was there early march '20 and it was already getting quiet. When on Lombok: Check out the Holiday Resort Lombok in Sengigi. Little Warung right on the beach called 'Nuf Said

A quiet comfortable room to sleep in 💤 is more important than anything 😊 +1.

Good video, we love Bali, going to Bangkok and Samui next March, will have to get back to Bali, we normally stay around Legian and Seminyak, although last time we stayed at the Hard Rock Kuta, great bar there, the music is great. Keep up the good work!

I think Paddy has had the same issues filming outside of Thailand as well, he really didn't seem to enjoy Vietnam anywhere near as much. Great videos. Really enjoying watching them. Was in Indonesia several times 38 and 35 years ago. So much change, so many crowds. Now I think should I return I will have to work very hard to find the unspoiled Indonesia without the throngs of digital nomads. From research I have found even the once remote places where i was the only tourist are now overrun with the hoards.

Thanks Mikes! Initially my Bali vids struggled to get views at all and YT had the dreaded warning in my analytics: 'Few regular viewers are choosing to watch this video'... 'this will affect recommendations'... blah blah etc... (ie: this vid is DOA). So, my thoughts then after 2 initial dud uploads were: 'If few are watching, why am I bothering filming and editing at all?' Thankfully in the last day or so, more Indonesians are starting to watch. So, like my KL series, the local audiences may yet lift the series. I'm very grateful for all my Thailand subs but I'd like to expand my travels and hopefully more will come along going fwd. Or, perhaps broaden the audience along the way. Cheers, STL

What was I just doing? Yeah nothing let's get back to doing that!! Absolutely the best. Today I drove through the cornfields to Iowa down gravel roads and questionably paved roads, tool really sweet RV park and there's only three of us here. Watch the fantastic sunset through a bug spackled windshield, I'm heading south into Oklahoma, but first Kansas but before all that I got to watch SideTripLife in Bali. Definitely want to spend a month or so in the future. I have a currency converter on my phone and whenever you give prices I convert them to the current exchange rate in US dollars plus Mexican pesos plus Thai baht plus Indonesian and Malaysian currency. The more I look the more I say I need to get the heck out of here. Tonight I paid $40 us to have a spot that has full hookups with electric water and sewer but I'm only going to use electric it's basically a parking spot for the night. I probably had to spend half of that in fuel to get here. But it's my current lifestyle and I love it, but I'm looking forward to something new. Your videos give me a glimpse of what it could be.

I've only watched 3 or 4 of your vids but I notice not one of the pools you show have a shaded section. us aussies love a shaded pool with our extreme uv. I would of thought a shade over a floating pool bar would be the go. isn't the uv as high, close the the equator. and do they have cyclones in Thailand. surpsosly 4 degrees away from equator till the cyclones can form. thanks for you informative vids with pricing.

That store you bought the guys beers from is across from my regular stop/surfing place. I have photos of a friend of mine doing something similar, which was buying a bunch of beach kids snacks and ice cream from the same shop. Some great ideas here for places for me to check out. Not difficult, especially with the local surfers as many could speak better English than thais.

Hotel room views are overrated. I like that rooftop view.
