It's *very* rare for members to change companies but remain in a group together, and I think it shows how vital each member is to Mamamoo that RBW allowed it.

Case in point, when they recently performed together at that Scouts jamboree. 😊

Don't forget that RBW holds most of the rights when it comes to Mamamoo. So the Fact that the members what to Continue Group activities, means they have to make an agreement with them. RBW does appear to want the group to continue. But... Now you have THREE companies that have to agree to terms, and schedualing. Along with the 4 members individual scheduals. It's going to be a logistical nightmare.

As Mamamoo all emphasized they have utmost love for the group and wish to continue as well as pursue their individual goals. Mamamoo have been consistent during their worldtour saying in different language that Mamamoo will continue💚💚💚💚 And I trust and believe in them our 4 talented Vocal Queens. Gonna support all of their solo, subunit and group projects😊😊😊😊

I think what they've done is a clever move... they're able to network and reach a wider audience this way, without breaching their contracts, especially given the music industry in Korea. That's a Boss move... Queens on another level!!

i saw mamamoo when they toured here in the states, happy to be able to witness the queens in person

I saw them at their NYC concert. They promised they would be back. They are not just a group they are a family.

Just remember guys, Mamamoo is a brand and that means any company can buy Mamamoo right's for promotions, singles, album or stage performance, that's why Hwasa didn't need an extended contract with RBW to keep going as a Mamamoo member ( She bring the whole group to Dancing Queen on the Road and did the Jamboree's performance) as long as PNation can pay the right's fee she can performance or make new songs with Mamamoo. Sadly, we can't say the same for Wheein, she need to either change to a bigger or richer label/agency that can pay for her or TheL1ve do that once her extended contract ends. It would be the same for Moonbyul and Solar if/when they leave RBW.

PNation isn't that big... Bigger than L1ve yes But Hwasa WILL have to make some sort of contract/agreement with RBW. You say "Mamamoo" is a brand... It's going to be a logistical nightmare. IF Solar and Moonbyul leave it becomes EVEN harder, because at that point RBW will want EVEN more guarantees for them to continue.

​@@wj6782 About the logistics you are right, it's going to be a nightmare for the 4 but not imposible, and that's why Solar said future activities as Mamamoo were going to be harder to do, not because they can't but by scheduling. And yes RBW hold the rights BUT they are a Public Company, which means anyone with enough money can invevst in them or pay the fees, this means members themselves and even fans. In fact, a lot of moomoos do that (esp chinese ones); many sell official mamamoo merch not like resellers but as owners. And no, Hwasa doesn't need a special agreement/contract because Pnation already said they will support her activities as a Mamamoo memeber, wich means they will invest/pay for the group but once again is a matter of shcedules.

@@Rivera_Olga PNation saying they will "support" Hwasa's activities with Mamamoo is just PR. Agreements will have to be made, and yes contracts will have to be signed. These are Companies doing Business... Money is the bottom line. The Members are Friends, the companies are not... And will want things CLEARLY defined and IN writting. So there is No confusion, and everyone knows what they get. As an aside PNation has issues keeping Idols... Jessi, Dawn and HyunA are just a few that have left.

@@wj6782 Hwasa recording with Wheein 17 Clip for the L1VE and her recently perfoming a Mamamoo (Solo) Medly in All Night Stand concert tell me pretty much that PNation IS willing to let her do all the Mamamo activities she want, and is obv that day she wanted a performance with them. Sadly, they are having scheduling issues already! 'cuz that same week: Wheein was in a Christmas Concert (China) and Mamamo+ (Moonbyul+Solar) with their Two Rabbits Code concert also somewhere in China.

It will be an extremely sad day if Mamamoo disbands for good but then all good things must come to an end. That being said no matter what happens they'll always be our mighty Queens of the Moomoo nation and whatever endeavour they participate in whether solo or as a group, we'll always support them.

Solar recently said in an interview that they want to continue as a group but that it will be hard because everyone also has their solo career now and it‘s challenging to find time with their schedules. I think we will only get a Mamamoo song every few years or so… 😢 I‘m wondering what Wheein is going to do after the incident with Ravi. Wheein said last year that she is working on a new album but we haven’t heard about it in a while. I’m not sure if Ravi will continue with his label and what that means for Wheein.

@@lovelylykarobles7964 Ravi has evaded military service with false health records that stated that he had epilepsy. Instead he served as a social worker. He was sentenced to 2 years probation and probably will have to re-enlist. He said that he did it because he was the only profitable artist in his company at that time and he feared for the future of his company. One of his artists, Nafla, also evaded military service and was sentenced to a year in prison. I guess this will affect his company and also Wheein and her upcoming album 😕

It was confusing at first yes but they mentioned that they wanted to make subunits many times and since Solar and Moonbyul are still in RBW it's easier, it makes sense for them

GOT7 and Mamamoo are my favourite groups! I hope all Mamamoo's members will be able to sign a contract with another agency than RBW for group activities. And that we can get a real world tour, not just Asia and USA.

These individual arrangements/contracts that the members of Mamamoo have pioneered are going to be the standard for many KPOP stars going forward. I wouldn't be surprised if the members of Blackpink end up making the same kind of deals,. Individual freedom, yet group commitments with YG as well.

Mamamoo has stated clearly throughout their tour, lives and social media that Mamamoo would still continue on. Their contract periods are severely different from an interview Solar and Moonbyul attended. At first it was Solar and Moonbyul that signed the contract, and then it was Hwasa and Wheein. They all thought the contracts would the same but turns out Solar and Moonbyul's was a year longer than the others. Considering this is an individual contract I do not think they discussed it with each other whether or not they wanted to stay in RBW because in the end, they would still be together- Same company or not.

Desde que RBW dijo, "gira mundial" surgió un compromiso, porque no es mundial hasta que no visitan el resto de continentes, o tan solo la empresa no sabe de geografía. 😂 No me preocupo por ninguna de ellas, seamos honestos, levantaron una empresa desde muy abajo, aunque son humanas tienen preocupaciones he insertidumbre. PSY claramente vio a Hwasa como el miembro mas destacado en su línea de estilo, esta nueva cancion suena a un cliché de lo que ya sabemos Hwasa es capaz, esperemos no la desperdicien. Solar y Moonbyul son las mas inseguras y apegadas a RBW, pero seguramente tienen sus planes fuera. Wheein es tan talentosa, confió en una marca pero no es tarde para rectificar. Como dice el dicho "el que es perico donde sea es verde" estas cuatro son una familia y ya es tiempo de que RBW demuestre que puede llevar a otro grupo a la fama sin depender de ellas.

I think they're the 2nd group that did this. The 1st one is SNSD where 3 members aren't in the same agency/company anymore, but they still sometimes promote and perform together. Mamamoo on the other hand has more engagements as a group, regardless of the agency/company.

Not a moomoo but fond of these talented girls a lot Can please anyone enlighten me? I was reading somewhere that Wheein contract actually double contract, so she still under RBW for group but on other agency for solo only 🤔 (I assumed her fee cut for mic on album goes to RBW) . Which different with most situations, for examples SNSD, where 3 totally left SM just still in the group, so when group comeback happened, those 3 still taken care by their own each agency (their fee cut for group activity goes into their own agency, not SM) . Is this my misunderstanding or not? 🤔

I was SHOOK when I saw the SG announcements!!! They really make everything happen I'm so happy for all the content but my wallet sure isn't 😭 so far we got 3 different SG, now imagine if Moonsun also got their own solo ones + Mamamoo+ and also Mamamoo as 4 😭

Ik they didn't disband but now that Solar and Moonbyul are the only ones under rbw now MAMAMOO+ gain more comebacks instead of the full group

Their first 7-year contract expired at the same time in June 2021. Their renewal contracts had different terms tho. Wheein signed a special agreement. Hwasa renewed until June 2023 (this has already expired and she didn't re-sign). Solar and Moonbyul renewed until June 2024. They probably had different negotations with RBW to make them renew lol

Wheein said that she will be involved with mamamoo only until the end of 2023

Their contracts expire next year and I think they are the members that are "most fond" of rbw, I personally hope they won't, I hope all the members are waiting for Moonsun's contracts to expire so they can claim their name, discography etc etc and either move to a new company or find a new one since Solar bought a building some time ago and no one knows what it was for...

Pretty sure in Solar and Moonbyul's contracts were over this year they would have left too lol
