Ad a tip for you Randy, as someone that live in Houston and passes NRG (where the rodeo is) daily during the rodeo. Going when 50 cent is performing, the traffic will be a nightmare, so I would recommend finding a hotel that is walking distance or a short drive. Maybe even take an Uber. But, also make sure to enjoy the carnival area and go inside to watch the actual rodeo. There is also always a candy stand that has lots of old school candy and many different types. But there is a lot to do during the rodeo. It can easily be an all day event for you.
