I love it when Hyundai/Kia make their "off-road" version vehicles not too utilitarian looking on the inside interior. Reminds me of an LR product. Rugged on the outside. Posh and fancy on the inside.

There was a time when Sorento took off-road seriously. But somewhere in the middle it lost its way.

@krane15 I don't think it ever took off-road seriously. Like Nathan said, it's gear more for comfort for families. Now, the new Hyundai Santa Fe, I think that will be a more serious contender as an off-road vehicle. Just the styling alone, let you know what their target audience is.

@@jraheemjefcoat429 The first gen was a true body-on-frame truck with a solid rear axle, skid plates, part-time 4WD, low range and a limited slip rear diff. Despite the off road equipment it was still pretty good to drive on-road, and most people never used it off road, so for the second generation they just got rid of all the off road stuff.

No, it's not 50% of the power, a locked clutch sends power to whatever wheel/axle can put it to the ground acting like an instant torque vectoring. 50% is what an OPEN differential sends to each half-shaft

Not a fan of the new face, the one thing I hated about the Telluride was the weird afterthought lookin headlights and now they doubled down on a them. And Kia, bring back the V6 Sorento! My '19 3.3 Sorento gets better MPG with a 2000 pound trailer than my brother's smaller turbo Sportage.

Diagonal obstacles cannot be passed only with tires. Need a proper AWD system. The car passed their test. and not overheated. The car would have passed even without momentum. Just use the normal mode and traction cotrol ON and steady acceleration. They knew. But they didn't used in the video. Why?
