    For those who happened to stumble across this short and quick to judge… -> I stand and support Pakistani women all the time -> kzread.info/dash/bejne/mG1qrI-kn9zXiMY.html Here …. Women supporting women. No matter where they come from or what color they are. Let’s not try and perpetuate more hate in this world. Teekhogay. We need to lift eachother up not tear our sisters down. If you don’t know the back story, don’t be quick to judge. If you don’t know me, take the time to get to know me before you say something rude. It’s not for my sake, I could care less… but it breaks my heart to see all the hate, anger and negativity in this world. Call me naive, but I don’t hang around on the internet much or witness this kind of behaviour EVER, and tbh, I’m shocked 😢 So please think about what kind of world you want to live in and how you would like others to lift you up and support you. The world will only reflect back to you what is in your own heart. So try to always find the positive side and spread love and not hate ❤️✌️

I was NOT hired for my looks OR my color. They Not only love the inspirational content I make- but the charity work I do across the country for both people and animals, also how I inspire all people to follow their dreams and support young women to be authentic,resilient and believe in themselves :) They wanted a powerful woman to represent their brand and to show all girls they can do anything if they really dream big! For those who don't know, I'm a Canadian married to a Pakistani and living here in Pakistan. :) My actual Pakistani wedding dress- instagram.com/p/CM9ACTWM_Nl/

    I don't really understand people getting mad and saying it's cultural appropriation when a person wears something that's inspired by a culture because I think it's actually a sign of flattery, like showing that you found beauty in a specific culture and are inspired by it. As long as you're not wearing something to mock anyone or claim it as your own, I see nothing wrong.

    @@todiewasanart9037 I’ve never heard that take before, but that’s interesting you say that. It does seem those who have a fragile cultural identity are the ones getting triggered and screaming cultural appropriation and desperately trying to push the concept of gatekeeping even onto cultures not their own. Ridiculous to get all worked up to see someone wearing a certain hairstyle or clothing. People try to go too deep with it like it’s some religion when at the end it’s all just esthetics. White wedding gowns are worn by women around the world. Should people from the west tell women in Asia not to wear a traditional white gown because it’s not fashion but culture? And I do believe it’s mainly an issue in the US, a bit maybe in Canada and England. It’s all about asserting control over someone else. Most everywhere else around the world, people are delighted when you embrace their culture.

    Hello to everyone watching this video. I've seen a lot of comments questioning why the makeup is darker, and although I am not involved in this show, I have a bit of an explanation. When people perform or present on stage, super bright lights are used to make the performers more visible to the entire audience. Because of how bright these lights are and how far away some of the audience can be, having normal makeup usually isn't sufficient to highlight the facial features and make them visible. Stage makeup usually involves foundation that is a couple shades darker, exaggerated contour, and heavier eye and lip makeup. This is all so that the lights don't completely white out their faces. Again, I'm not involved in this show at all, I just recognize this makeup technique from doing musicals and I didn't want there to be any misconceptions or confusion in the comments. This woman looks absolutely lovely, and I love the attention to detail in her outfit

  • @TwoBs

    @TwoBs

    Yes! This needs to be taken into consideration heavily before extreme (misinformed) claims are thrown around so carelessly. All because of the makeup process. People aren’t bothering to _logically_ ask themselves “why did a professional do that?”. What they aren’t shown is that the same process is done on just about everyone, no matter the skin tone. For anyone that has even taken a theater class in high school, they should have an idea on how the makeup techniques for these types of things absolutely matter. Whether it be small school plays or high budget fashion shows, the lights are taken into consideration. To give people a more personal idea on how bright these lights are, it’s like a ring light many use at home. Just about everyone has one now. Everything is much brighter as soon as one is on, even on its lowest/dimmest setting. They allow for a more “flat” type of lighting to be seen that looks good and shows everything well. However, shadows are minimal due to such. That’s just with one light. Now, imagine 10 or more of those ring lights all pointed in your direction - you’ll be applying your makeup much heavier and darker. It’s why a lot of makeup influencers that apply their their foundation on camera under such lighting will often show a shade in its packaging that looks a shade or two darker. Whenever it’s applied, though, it blends really well and looks good under the lighting. You are able to see their natural face shape much better. However, you can bet as soon as they step away from the lighting, it’ll look much darker. As for the claims of cultural appropriation, I don’t see it. She was asked to be in the show by them. She looked lovely and wore the garments in a respectable manner. It would be different if the show was done by others who weren’t apart of the culture with 0 insight from someone that was, and they had created pieces with stereotypical themes scattered throughout the show and they had paid no respect to the cultures they were inspired from. I sometimes think people just want to complain to simply be doing it without thinking logically about what they’re actually complaining about.

The rest of the world actively embrasses cultural exchange, most countries get great economic boost by playing into it too. Can we stop acting like she slighted Pakistani people, when she was requested to be there...by Pakistani people....leave the woman be

    It’s hilarious you use the term tone deaf. She’s the minority here. You can see the majority of people in attendance, makeup artists, stylists and models are not white. You’re so easily triggered seeing a WW. But keep pushing that bs concept and maybe eventually that will influence the east to gatekeep their culture and restrict foreigners from trying to seek employment and educational opportunities in their country. They’ll just block everyone outside from experiencing their country and culture for the sake of preservation. Would that be ideal then? Or maybe not because that would mean you wouldn’t be able to benefit from it? 🤔
