I applaud Welty for so succinctly articulating the issue with having politicians on a show like FSR. I think JLP is a little clouded by “doing numbers”, when platforming a politician (no matter their partisanship) may inherently diminish the show’s integrity regardless of the hosts’ intentions. Welty can be frustrating at times but his commitment to maintaining his values is admirable 👏

Trump voters will blame artificial intelligence for losing(having election stolen). That's the last excuse their going to have for the mountain of evidence showing trump set up fake electors to try(and fail) to steal the election. I get it, their ego won't allow for a fair election in which they actual lose because their so deep into this domestic terror cult because they only watch fox news and enjoy being worked like putins puppet. All their grandkids and future family will deeply hate them because the amount of domestic terror they reigned into this country because they only cared about me, me, me and not the United States of America. They need to be rehabilitated to save democracy but they are objectively equal since no animate life in the universe has free will so we all have to learn from this and try to flourish as a species without causing malice towards each other and other species. If the top falls we all fall.

And props to you guys for not dodging the conversation about the Trump sneakers - we don't collect sneakers because of politics, and I don't think that needs to change. Hawking an overpriced sneaker to an audience of potential voters is unnecessary and I don't care for the politicization of sneakers.

Welty really won me over on this episode. Glad to see a man with his own thoughts

Most people today aren't sneakerheads, they're opportunist. The real culture was replaced mid 2000's. Everyone wasn't wearing basketball shoes in 90's.

I don’t know, being a kid and growing up in the 90’s I remember a lot of us (kids) wearing basketball shoes as our daily shoe. Whether we were running around a park, riding our bikes, or actually playing ball, we had basketball shoes that we wore every single day as “regular” shoes. In the 90’s basketball shoes were a huge thing. Jordan’s, Shaq’s shoes, Reebok Pump, etc. etc. that was the 90’s big time.

The real culture? Huh? Consumerism didn't show up in the 2000s, you just plugged into it at that time in your specific location. Malls have been around for a while, and people always liked to look fly and wear expensive things. People are repping hard for all the sneakers that took off 30+ years ago. Michael Jordan famously said; "Republicans buy sneakers, too"

For those wondering about AE1 performance: Go down half size if your foot is skinny to normal. Go true for wide feet. Theyre a little roomy. The forefoot has some lockdown issues (you cant really tighten it) Theyre a little on the heavy side but if they fit your foot 1:1, you can definitely work past it. Everything else, theyre a great shoe for $120
