That's a nice addition for the Myford Ben, obviously it would be nice if you had more of the tool holders, but you can either buy more when you feel the need/can afford, or make some yourself.

@@BensWorkshop No Ben , it was pre youtube videoing days, it was a little different to the dickson type, more simpler to make, but just as good on a small lathe👍👍

Hello Ben, It looks very similar to the one I have on my ML7... I have found it is a bit quicker than the standard Myford one. Take care. Paul,,

Very true. Whilst you are here... Do you suppose there is a benefit to being able to change whether a foot pedal starts at full blast down to minimum to the other way around starting at minimum and going to full blast easily? Also do you find having your whole foot in the air awkward? Lastly what is a fair price to pay for a nice pedal? Also many thanks for watching!

@@BensWorkshop I'm not sure I can see why you'd want the power control reversed. but I'm not a pro at this so maybe someone might like that. in terms of foot position, I found it fine. but then I have a fairly tall stool that I usually use when welding, or I'm stood up, in both positions I could rest my heal on the base of the pedal reasonaly comfortably. but I'd guess if you had a lower seating position it would become a problem. as for what I'd pay for a nice pedal. I'm probably a bad person to ask given I bought a cheap one I knew the wiring would be broken on because I knew I'd just fix it. ;-) but I guess 50-60 maybe? again, since I don't do it professionally or that often it's hard to figure out what sorts of things would make enough difference to make me want to spend more money.

Many thanks Dan. Having looked at the one you had, it just doesn't look hard to make a better one for similar money or cheap for myself when I get to buying an AC/DC TIG welder.

@@BensWorkshop agreed. The parts list is pretty cheap. A little bit of thought and I'm sure you could come up with a fairly easily constructed design

Short answer is that before I took this one apart I was not sure how they worked. Now I am, so I could but I have to work out the machining operations to do so. My next project is making a slitting saw arbor. Many thanks for watching!
