Transferred from VHS tape August 2021 by Bill Mills for the entertainment of film and TV fans and for film historians' research and reference.

You are welcome. I am delighted that you enjoyed seeing it. (did you click the Like and Subscribe buttons? ) My wife and I are big Roddy fans and the VHS tape from which I transferred this is from her personal collection. When I discovered it in her stored stuff I knew I had to get it out to KZread for all the fans of Roddy, Mr. Moore and the wonderful Miss Powell (who a few years after this show became Mrs. Dick Moore). Thank you for the lovely comment, Ron. It is sincerely appreciated.

Didn't see any movies with Dickie Moore, but certainly enjoyed the talents of Roddy McDowell & Jane Powell. All gone now, but never to be forgotten.

3 Legends‼️ Dickie Moore : Over 100 film credits. Some, in the silent era. Was a main “Little Rascal, “, and the one who gave Shirley Temple her first on-screen kiss. His book: “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, But Don’t Have Sex Or Take the Car”. Roddy McDowell - ICON, Jane Powell - ICON. All 3 amazing ‼️ [ I’d like to see the beginning with Dickie]. What a great post. Thanks for sharing ‼️ 📻🙂

Master Roderick was a good man and beloved film star. He deserved his reputation in the industry and the love and trust from his peers. He was a true 'class act'. I'm delighted that you enjoyed seeing this vintage video (did you click the Like and Subscribe buttons? ). He and Janie were child actors together and great friends all the rest of their lives. Thank you for the wonderful comment, Judy. It is genuinely appreciated.

Dickie Moore and Jane Powell married in 1988, four years after this show was on but by the way she looks at her you can tell he was very much in love already. They remained together until his death in 2015, 1-derful couple !!! And Roddy was such an amazing, versatile performer, loved his comic and musical turns in Carol Burnett's and as the 'guest assassin' in Columbo.

Hard to know exactly why. I guess it's like Newton's third law: "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction". In this case it's 'for every opinion there is an equal and opposite opinion'. Or as they used to say in the 1960s "Different stroke for different folks". Thanks for the thoughtful and interesting comment, Garsons2059! I appreciate the time you took to view this and for the great comment.

@sandrashevey8252 Unless you saw Roddy and Merv touch each other’s genitalia, you don’t know they were homosexual lovers. Your biography of Marilyn Monroe sucks. Robert Slatzer is not a reliable source. For his own book about her he recreated entire phone conversations with her that he could not recall verbatim ten years later. Maybe Marilyn was murdered, but Mr. Slatzer did not witness it.
