Any tips on this using FCAW? No matter what I do, it just blows holes through this thin metal….even on my lowest setting.

Hey Ryan, have you tried switching to a smaller diameter wire? Thinner wire carries less current and is more forgiving on thinner material. Flux core does like heat which makes this a little more difficult. Send me an email and I'll ship you another kit adam@makertable.com

@@MakerTable I’ve mostly figured it out by spot/stitching it very slowly. I know flux is not ideal, but it’s all I’ve got at the moment. Biggest problem I have is I don’t know what the hell I’m doing and no one to tell me what I’m doing wrong. 🤪😂 unfortunately this machine will only run 030 or 035. Hoping to maybe get a Vulcan OmniPro 220 or something similar soon - so that will hopefully help some. Too many choices of welders for a noob. 😂

What thickness metal is that? What amperage where you running? Are you selling these? If so could you local pickup? Thanks 😊

These are 12 ga 0.1" thick and they are for sale on the website and you can totally pick them up in the shop 👍 I'll show you around. This was run at 100 amps using a tig rig w no pedal so the fine tuning is only done w the arc gap. Great way to tighten up the tig skills.

@@jimdouglasgregory You'll need to place an order online about 3 days before. I don't carry any inventory and only cut what is ordered. We are a pretty lean operation.
