    Terlalu friendly pun boleh kena buang kerja? First time dengar ni. Kalau dekat Malaysia ko tak sengaja buat muka masam, siap sedia lah ko terima bad review dari customer dari neraka. Ko tak salah pun tetap akan jadi salah dekat Malaysia. Maklum lah Customer Always Right. Term dari Neraka. 😂

    @@firdausazmy5892 Well, we can only comment based on what she said (we don't have the business owner's side of the story). But even with the information she gave, it is clear she is trying to frame the situation as if she was dismissed for being friendly, when that is not the issue at all. The leaking of recipe (we can't know if it was the restaurant's own recipe or her own, as we only have one side of the story) was the basis for dismissal. She clearly did not understand the industry, and unfortunately her offence was too serious to ignore.

    Pertama sekali, saya minta maaf kalau sesiapa terasa terutamanya yg berkongsi cerita. Nothing personal ok. 1) ada byk meja dkt resto 2) u r the only person yg jd waitress. U need to take cust order n make drinks 3) the atmosphere is quite hectic Pd hari kejadian, 1st cust u dh ambil order. Sblm u masukkan order, 2nd cust panggil n u take his/her order. Amik masa sbb 2nd cust baru nk pilih mknn. N u wait. It takes a while like u mentioned. The problem is... 1) u make the 1st cust tunggu for her/his order (of kos akn lmbt) 2) u make the chef wait for the order he/she needs to cook (x kisah ada sorg/bbrp tukang masak, tetap akn jd masalah. U just need imagination to think what will happen) Semua sbb u nak amik order cust kedua yg baru pilih nk mkn apa. And, what happen if other cust call u to take their order? This is not about peramah or sekali harung. This is about work efficiency. Dahulukan mana yg perlu. U just need to say, im sorry, ill come for u later. Kdg2 org yg dtg mkn ada yg nk cepat n ada yg mmg tak reti sabar n pemarah spt Karen (lg lah menjadi2 bila lapar). Kalau dpt cust mcm ni, teruk kena sbb order lmbat sampai. BTW, pemilik restoran punya attitude sgt teruk n not professional. He/she has no right to touch u. If he/she x puas hati, dia perlu ajar u how to handle the situation since u r new. Saya ckp ni pun based on my experience. Kita kena letak diri kita di tempat org lain utk tahu kenapa/apa/bagaimana. Pepatah melayu pun ada ckp, 'buat baik berpada2, buat jahat jgn sekali'.

    Saya sebagai customer saye akan rasa pleasant kalau waiter tu seorang peramah,lagi bagus kalau owner tu pon peramah...sebab saye pernah ke restoran yg ade owner & waiter yg peramah.Walaupun jauh saye repeat banyak kali pergi restoran tu.😊✌️

    Saya diberitahu oleh pakcik saya, sebenornye orang2 eropah(saya tak maksodkan kesemuanya lah) kebanyakan yg tidak tahu budaya orang dari Asia, mereka sebenarnya tidak suka kita yg datang dari benua Asia ni berhijrah ke tempat mereka.. mereka mungkin berasa ancaman dan rasa kita menumpang kemajuan yg mereka ada.. contoh negara maju seperti Sweden, Norway, Finland.. belom termasok negara secara terang dan nyata anti Islam seperti Denmark, Belanda, Perancis, itu lagi lah mereka tak suka pada orang bukan eropah

    As a customer, I find it annoying when you as a waiter decide to entertain another customer before key-in my order first. Imagine, that "over friendly" treatment of yours cost me another 20 minutes of waiting time for my food to get done. One more thing, I believe that recipe does not belong to you. Can you simply share your company secret recipe?

    It's not about taking the second order sekali harung, but more like you will be late sending the first order to the kitchen to be prepared. imagine if the 2nd customer is indecisive like 5 minutes, that means you still havent sent the first order for 5 minutes. The sekali harung is convenient for you but not for the customer. It's not about being friendly but more to the way you handle/manage the orders. You still can be friendly but wisely/efficient at work

In the F&B business, recipes are trade secrets. So, unless you are the business owner, what you did (sharing the recipe) is a major no-no. 3:47: Saying "Saya tak generalize ye.." just after making a blanket statement like "Bezanya cara orang Islam Melayu kita layan student...", is generalizing. If you want to be objective, target the individual, not the group. Jerks come in all shades.

Sbb tu saya ckp mungkin sbb ia dari pengalaman saya sendiri yg kena marah dgn abg saya masa saya tlg dia di kedai makan sbb bgtau resepi kpd org lain. Lepas tu abg cerita plk kat mak saya & saya kena marah plk kaw2 dgn mak saya macam saya dah buat dosa yg besar. Ingatkan kongsi resepi tu benda biasa, sbb suka tgk resepi perkongsian org lain. Tp bg pengusaha makanan nie lain, kalau resepi bocor ibarat nak tutup rezeki mereka walau hakikatnya setiap kita dah ditentukan rezeki masing2. Wallahu a'lam.

    Dari jalan cerita kita faham dah. Waitress terlalu ambil masa layan customer waktu ambil order hingga membuatkan yg lain ternanti, share resepi tanpa keizinan dan tak ikut rules. Cuma kekurangan owner ialah tidak guide dengan baik.harap speaker pun learn the lesson

    Yup..time wasting. In restaurant business, order taking must be swift. If she is the PR staff its her duty to be very friendly to customers. However, waitressing is a different ball game.. you don't chat-up with your customers. I think she doesn't understand her job/duty.

    Haah i pon fikir benda sama. 24 tables and only 1 waitress + kena buat air. Kalau tak reti nak kerja dgn efficient mmg order akan delay. 1 or 2 tables might be happy tapi table lain akan rasa terabai like lambat ambik order, lambat dpt food etc.

    Kalau yg pasal first customer order dulu, kemudian ambik pulak order second customer sekali, tu tak proper. Patut key in dulu first customer macam tauke cakap. Kalau kamu buat mcm tu, first customer terpaksa tunggu lama. Tunggu kamu settle ambik order 2nd customer, tunggu lagi cef masak. Cubit kuat ke cubit manja.? Saya rasa patut kita dengar pulak tauke dia cakap apa pulak utk adil.

    Actually, yg dia layan customers sekali harung tu aku faham knp dia kena tegur. Sbb dlm melayan customer no 2 tu dia boleh menyebabkan customer no 1 tertunggu dan kekeliruan dlm system. Sbb tu kebanyakan restoran galakkan setelkan satu customer dulu baru move on next customer.

    In Norway, people would prefer to keep to themselves and don't expect them to be too friendly too soon. They are very shy people, it is just the way the are. I am not blaming them, but I understand. My advice is before coming to another country understand and learn their cultures first. Tusen takk og han fin dag !

    Bagi aku ..ni lah yg paling logic nya..sbb ko boleh "multi task" .atleast msa tgh layan the next costumer, org kitchen boleh prepare n buat order.. xkan 10 table masuk.satu2 nak layan smua smpai meja ke 10 bru nak key in.. kan ke lama meja 1 tggu order.. biarpun meja sebelah2 ke.. pg je counter key in dlu.. senang pulak org kitchen..x skli order masuk bebukit..clash la dapur.. lagi2 kalau order berbeza n equipment cukup2...

    @@i8516 I have no F&B in the UK yet, but I do understand the concept of trade secrets in the business. She's trying to paint a picture that she was unfairly dismissed (for being too friendly), and everyone jumps in the bandwagon to support her. However, if you understand business operation, you will immediately understand that she was dismissed for a very serious offence (leaking trade secrets), and her dismissal was more than justified.

    I was a teacher trainee in KL. Throughout my 5 years during my college life, i was doing part time jobs in different restaurants and fast foods franchises. I was working as cashier, back liners and waiter at KFC, McD, Kenny Rogers and Nando’s. It’s really important not to take as many orders from many different tables. Dapat order dari satu table, terus key in order. First come first serve 😉, secondly supaya takde error tertukar order dengan table lain etc. Anyway it is sad to hear that you being fired bcs of your friendliness, but all in all, kerja sebagai waiter mmg best, boleh asah communication dan social skills. Just sharing my experience as a part timer. Peace ✌🏿

    Memang kena treat people with kindness tapi seriousla, dah ambil order key in dulu then baru ambil order yang lain..jadi lambatlaaa...lepastu xbolehla ko duduk sembang dengaj customer sedangkan ada banyak customer lain menanti. Aku pernah jadi waiter jugak ko kena pandai berbual yang penting dan dalam masa yg sama kena ramah. 🤣

    Adakah dia d berhentikan selepas share resepi.? Cubit tu mmg salah dah.apapun tegur dengan mulut bukan dgn tgn.Friendly tk Salah.,tapi jika semua benda nak cerita bila ditanya itu totally salah.Jadi pekerja kena tahu apa yg boleh dan tak boleh share.     Kalau utk 'I' dan 'we' kita memang akan guna 'shall'. Pada pendapat saya, kalau commenter tu Asian, dia gunakan 'shall' untuk mewujudkan perpaduan dengan content provider sbb dia orang Malaysia. Pendek kata macam guna ayat "Kita/kami orang Asia memang macam ni. Tak kiralah datang dari negara mana tapi bila di luar negara, kalau bertemu dgn org yg dtg dr benua yang sama mmg akan bersatu." Saya pernah ke HK dgn keluarga. Bila dengar kami cakap Melayu, ada orang menyapa. Rupa-rupanya dia orang Indonesia. Terus dia cakap Melayu.

    @@MdmSaira I don't have businesses in the UK, so I am not the owner. And since she was not specific which restaurant it is, it's impossible for me to say for sure if I am related in any way to the restaurant owner. I just know how F&B works, and I immediately realize she was trying to misrepresent the situation. Her dismissal was for a very serious offence (not for being "too" friendly).

    Salam ML Studio and the viewers.. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Pada saya dua2 pihak boleh baiki kekurangan masing2..the ultimate goal is customer experience and give them a positive feelings towards the restaurant and the staff there. Memang perlu diutamakan dahulu meja yg dh buat order supaya mereka tak rasa lambat dan tak dilayan... Dan meja yg baru panggil kita perlu minta maaf dan maklumkan akn dtg dlm masa 5 minit contohnya. Dan owner pulak...hmmmm...mungkin perlu byk study organizational behavior... Nk jaga customer x boleh la kambing hitamkan pekerja. Kepuasan pelanggan adalah dari hasil pekerja yg gembira 🤗

    My opinion la..kalao boleh ambik order serentak 2 -3 table boleh but you have to key in which 1 yang you ordered dulu.And if customer/guest called you to ask something or recommend something of course memang boleh it might takes sometime but bukan lama pun its all how we interact with them.I lived in London(Bermondsey) and I went to most of Malaysian restaurants everyweek.The reason why your boss suruh you key dulu pasal chef nak prep 1st order sebelum 2 order masuk.Even 2 dish yang sama masuk serentak its doesn’t mean boleh masak sekali.Maybe some ada certain allergies .But your boss tak patut cubit itu sudah salah.I worked in FnB industry as well.And yes keja dengan Mat Saleh best jugak ,without mistakes we won’t grow .Just my 2 cents ✌️.

    Awak kena belajar ilmu f&b kak.. Salah cara awak tuh.. 1. Dah ambil order first customer terus pergi passing blkg... Nak elakkan mix up order dan tertangguh.. Yg kes cerita resepi tuh.. Tak pernah dibuat org pergi kedai tanya resepi pelayan pergi bagi.. Habis kuat just bgtau menu tuh cm mana ja.. Nanti awak buka laa kedai makan pastuh awak hired org yg character mcm awk tuh..

In this case, according to the speaker, she shared the recipe with a customer. In any F&B establishment, this is a valid and strong reason to dismiss an employee. Can you explain why you consider it a "nonsense reason"? If you are a business owner, would you tolerate employees who leaked trade secrets?

    ML studio sila tapis betul2 bila nak pilih speaker lepas ni 1. Tajuk misleading. Dia kena buang kerja bukan sebab friendly tapi dia langgar rules sebagai waiter. 2. 1st time kena pinch umur 23 yo, nampak sangat jenis anak manja yang tak boleh terima teguran (not factualy tapi most probably) 3. kenapa share recipe dengan customer? Waitress boleh ke buat mcm tu mak cik? Tak boleh fikir ke apa kau buat tu betul ke salah? 4. Ape pulak complaint dia pasal kerja housekeeping? Dia tanya too many questions? Kalau aku jadi employer pun tak suka kalau dapat employee yang zero knowledge Anyway, video ni memang pointless
