Hey Peter and Dianne, this video and both of your playing and singing is honestly so beautiful and engaging. We need more videos like this.

What Dianne Reeves does in terms of intervals, arpeggios, embellishments...? A great musician with keen harmonic insight. A lot of diminished and augmented major going on, modern harmony. The way she commands chromatically descending AND ascending notes to alter the harmony shows her love and understanding of what Miles, Wayne and Herbie contributed to jazz. Intense.

“When you listen to each other, it can go on forever” - Dianne. 🎶 Amen! In the audience, when we listen to you and Peter, we wish it could go on forever!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a gift to listen and learn from these generous, joyous, and talented people. When Dianne says " .. you have to know where you are going" that really hit home. These two performers demonstrate that beautifully by setting up the listener, and then doing some daring twists and turns, and then landing firmly at the next spot. So much to learn and appreciate here. Many gracious thanks to Peter and Dianne!

Wow, that was a jewel of a video. In all the ways. Brilliant musicianship, thanks for sharing the subtleties of your experiences working through those musical moments. That's where the magic of true jazz , true musical improvisation, and musical conversation, lives.

It's so cool, modulating on the leap in "I get mis/ty....." Since that's already a leap, it sort of invites you to go somewhere new

OMG, this is so WORLD-CLASS! Seriously, two MASTERS playing in the sandbox together! As soon as I am back on my "financial feet," I plan on taking the course with Ms. Dianne. She is the living legacy of vocal jazz singing, and her musicianship just kills me! BTW, there's a great musician joke about the singer who sits in with the band and keeps changing keys (and time signatures) over "Misty." However, in case of what Peter and Dianne did, it's NO JOKE!

Peter, that's the man, my teacher!. Beautiful collaboration between Dianne and Peter! "Misty" an old tune that will never die and when 2 musicians of this caliber converse, it becomes infinite beauty!

She has been my favorite singer fir over 30 years. I remember taking my son to hear her sing when he was only 4. Now he’s turning me on to her new stuff. She is phenomenal!! An exceptional singer with a powerful voice. Keep speaking to us in song…..

Great educational channel. Hey, have you guys heard or, or heard pianist Otmaro Ruiz. Try analysing or transcribing one of his solos. Lol. One of the most amazing jazz players on the planet. Except that he's not just killer in jazz. Killer brazilian, killer salsa, killer South American folk music. It's his uncommon incredible versatility too. Check him out. Pretty much ANY solo would do. Killer musician. Check out anything at the Baked Potato.
