This is a "very fresh" professional singer, writer, composer from Montreal singing canadian french/english folk. She has already received recently prize of best new talent in Quebec (not linked to The Voice), and has already published an album. Vianney guesses very well her "folk roots" and from this point he thought that this was a non sense to try to expose such kind of voice in another areas that wouldn't desserve this voice, so he didn't turn Florent probably follows the same kind of thinking : this voice being already mature, very specific (folk country coloured voice), this is generally speaking not a kind of candidate suitable for The Voice where the competition further requires more adaptable, malleable, multi-purpose voices. As many singers from Quebec before her (Céline Dion, Coeur de Pirate, Isabelle Boulay, Natasha St Pier, Garou...), she wishes to expand her career in Europe, this is the reason why she competes in The Voice France. For a singer from Quebec, being a recognised talent in France is very important. I think that this choice of song is not very good for a blind test in the voice, not exposing enough the voice capabilities. Not enough timbre variation, sexy vibrato according to me. All coaches admit that performance is well done, but among many many many other good performances in 4 blind sessions, something was missing to make the decision. As many other good performances, this one was missing an "emotion" factor which could have eventually reversed the mind of the coachs We reach almost the end of the blind sessions (just one more blind session to come), teams are now mostly completed, so this makes also harder to choose candidate as coachs already planify future battles, thinking of possible "duets", so coachs also choose new talents according of the talents present in their own team, and talents present in other teams. In a first blind session, it's not impossible that one coach would have turned (Vianney or Marc Lavoine)... also I don't really think so because again I think this choice of song is simply wrong for a blind.

what an in depth analysis I agree but also the coaches could ve help her out of that folkloric nature with training and time so she can perform other genres ...she was great !
