She smiles at everyone, when she walks down by them, because she thinks others find her attractive. She thought she looked like Princess Diana, because of her hair being blonde, and feathered. In addition, to her blue eyes. BUT not even in the way she took in oxygen was she like princess Diana. Diana was beautiful, inside and out, and Princess Diana loved her sons.

I got that vibe from her, too, especially since her name was Diane. While Princess Diana was shy and soft spoken, Diane Downs came across confident and matter of fact while talking constantly so people would pay attention to her.

It is so hard to believe that someone, (especially a mother) could do such a horrific thing to her children. God bless those surviving beautiful babies always. Diane Downs, Casey Antnony, and Susan Smith are the most horrible monster creatures we can imagine. I am sure there are many more we don't know of.

How dumb can one be to escape from prison? Especially when you claim to be innocent? An innocent person would not jeopardize adding more years on to their sentence by escaping or trying to escape. PS The guy who hid her, Wayne Seifer received five years probation and a six month restitution punishment afterwards for aiding and abetting a fugitive.

The first time Diane tried to kill her kids was when she took them to a river in the middle of the night and would hide behind the trees and jump out suddenly like trying to scare the children so they trip and fall in the river.

It’s always about her and her well being. 🙄 I heard that she killed Christy because she was “ugly “. That’s what Diane said or inferred. The middle kid usually is the one who has it the worst it seems. I was the 2nd born middle kid and both of my parents wanted me dead! They did just about everything they could to ensure that I committed suicide. They were decent to my other two siblings though.

Men and women are very different. Women are more understanding and willing to forgive, it's in their nature. It's male prisoners who kill other prisoners for crimes against children, not female.

She is the most evil person I've ever studied. I like psychology and this woman has me baffled. I can't believe she still tries to maintain her innocence. The parole board has always wanted a confession. Might have had a better chance however she never deserves to see the light of day again.

All responsibility was put onto Christie. Danny was too young. I think that girl stood up like a champion and did exactly the right thing! And the prosecutor adopts them? That is definitely not seen every day. Diane was evil and God made sure they ended up better off. Don't people know that spirituality is the missing sense everyone looks for. Nobody wants to except it. I'm no religious freak but it's common sense. Try using your brains people.

You know the DA and his wife adopted Christie and Danny, right? He was focused on protecting them. I taped that movie when it 1st aired so I've watched it more times than I can count. Small Sacrifices was the 2nd true crime book I ever read. He and Christie developed a strong bond from their 1st meeting.

And have a modem day jury feeling sorry for her, now that the kind of child abuse she suffered is more understood and empathized with. And honestly, how many murderers get the full brunt of justice like she did? Very few. Light sentences and they’re often reduced.
