I think Diane turned into this maniac because of her abuse in her childhood. Actually sad how humans can be shaped by traumatic experiences when in child age... the movie may be a horror movie but I think it’s a very sad story actually... Although I’m happy that Chloe found her real family in the end. Thanks for this video!

I watched the movie several times and I honestly feel more sorry for Diane than for Chloe. I know Diane abused Chloe and she was a toxic mother, but like you said, she had been abused as a child, her mother committed suicide in front of her, she wasn't loved by her parents so I believe she wanted to give Chloe all the love she never had as a kid. We can't deny that Diane didn't love Chloe. She loved Chloe and she would have done everything to protect her. Unfortunately by protecting her, she hurt her. @@jennifer.s1512 Of course :) 💕 yeah true! I agree but what I don’t understand is why Diane tried to “kill” her (basement scene) cause she made this weird substance with paint thinner and other stuff. I’m not a chemist but injecting someone sth with paint thinner could kill you, right? 😅

@@winters.4122 from what I understood, she didn't want to kill Chloe. Earlier in the movie, Diane was looking for some "Household neurotoxins" and paint thinner is one of them. I don't think you die if you absorb neurotoxins but they have a huge impact on your neurons, they damage your neurons drastically and they have long-term consequences such as paralysis, loss of memory, vision loss and other things. If you remember, Diane told Chloe that she could have made her forgot all of this and start again. If Diane succeeded in what she wanted to do, Chloe would have needed her for the rest of her life and that's what Diane wanted. "You'll be my baby forever"

Diane: We're going home! Karma: Officers! (Hospital Guard shot Diane on her shoulder. She lost balance and fell down the stairs, suffering some fractures.) (Chloe is then freed from the nightmare.) Me: Karma is a b***tch. Moral of the Lesson: Don't kidnap somebody to rewrite away your traumatic past. Stop your whining and grow the hell up! It AIN'T worth living a life filled with lies just to satisfy your stupid ego. Other people have done a better job overcoming such traumas from their past lives that they become better angels.

All she wanted was to be be with Chloe ..

Why? She didn’t deserve Chloe. She treated her like trash, gave her pills that made her paralysed, lied to her from the day she was taken to Diane’s house, kidnapped her from her biological parents, ruined her life’s career, pushed her away from other people, made Chloe’s life awful and miserable. She needed to be eliminated, she was hurting her daughter, destroying her daughter’s life, doing harm and never letting her go. She is one of the worst mothers in the world and unfortunately there are parents who treat their children the same Diane treated Chloe.

That's terrifying. Regardless of what Diane went through, what she did to Chloe was inexcusable. Wanting a quite literally abusive woman to "win" for the sake of her maintaining her own delusion is nothing short of horrible.
