I like the classic design. It looks like a real gun with a real stock and not like something a plumber made on a bad monday morning.
Springers are at the heart of our sport and air rifle shooters should have one in their collection. There is something about self sufficiency and being self contained - no need for extras for CO2 /PCP. Plus, the skills needed to shoot a springer well are great to acquire.

Agreed. I had an Original 45, Webley Vulcan and a HW35. Brilliant springers.
Thanks for more springers on the channel. For many of us, due to budget, springers just make more sense. Yes, you must absorb the cost of a quality gun, but it's an investment - and you only have to buy pellets & silicone oil afterward. The added expense of tanks, refill charges, etc. w/PCP's can be daunting for some. Diana has, in a left-handed manner, just admitted (in my humble opinion) that they made a mistake in Chinese manufacture for dependable, quality airguns. And so many springers come in a lovely package such as the 460, w/classic lines & handsome wood furniture. Simple is beautiful!
Always love the variation of guns on review on this channel! Never disappointed 👍🏻
Great review Andy. Its good to see you reviewing some more springers. Thank you.
Tradition along with that type of accuracy & quality at an amazing price,No brainer from start to finish.Thx Andy.
Brilliant video Andy! I've got the the full stocked 430 sibling (in .177) to this and what a high quality tac driver it is, out to 40 plus yards. Keep making these videos Andy, as I am sure they will help guide many air gunners towards the best - state of the art products that are the most fun and the best value for money on the market. Brilliant reviews, honeslty and light hearted plus fun to watch as well! Much Kudos to you Sir, as the gratis is long overdue from me. Rob, Welsh air gunner & arms collecter, South Wales.
Smashing gun, proper old school and looks very well made. Thanks for the review Andy.
So many good value options out there at the moment. Keep up the great work and content
The infamous HW77 set the standard for many years for underlever springers. The Venom Arms versions were superb and the front latch/silencer look far better the the original diecast block. I still have two of them, back in the day they were not cheap, but they oozed quality. Now Diana has this one at a similar price and been made in Germany should ensure that it is far better than the cheap offerings from China. The appearance for me is spot on, and iooks like a gun should unlike some of todays weird looking PCP's. Next time i am near a gunshop that sells them i might be tempted.
My Diana 460 Mod 460 T06 Magnum in .177 was made in Germany in 2018 and, although older, is as accurate as this one. I've expanded my collection quite some bit since its purchase, yet it still holds a special place in my heart! The price I paid for the features I got is one of the best deals I've gotten.
Another great review Andy, good to see a variety of reviews on this channel.
what a lovely rifle that is ; Glad your reviewing Diana's products, especially this one THANKS Andy 👍👍
Under lever is always a nice touch of class. Brilliant 👏
Now that looks like the Diana's of old. I'm quite tempted. Thanks Andy.
Having the full power 460 it's definitely a rifle of beauty. With the jsb 10 grains it shoots like a lazer if you do your part . Definitely worth having for pest and targeting
The first rifle that I bought was a Diana mk7, way back in 1964. I've owned guns ever since. Although I don't like those bear trap loading gates, they should have incorporated something like the BSA Air Sporter loader, with a swivel trap. Nice review Andy.
I owned an unrestricted .22 model 52 a few years back (in another country) , it was incredible, it was used on vermin control, it would easily penetrate 15~19mm ply wood sheet
I have loads of pcp rifles but my first love are my springers , love them ❤.
I'm very happy to get one of the last 470TH before it was discontinued. Basically a 460, but with thumbhole stock and no fixed sights. A beauty and will spin 1" spinners at 75m.
Brilliant. I never expected you to review the rifle i own. It being quite a rare model
This has been on my want list for quite a while, nice to finaly see a springer on the chanel
Love the Diana's of Germany. Currently own a model 34 in .22 with T05 trigger. Have also owned a model 52 in .25, 350 magnum in .22, and a 34 meisterschutze in .177. All great rifles and all are and were 100% German. I have been eyeing the 460 for quite a while now. I have never owned an underlever model. Great video.

They are very nice, I bought a 460 magnum in .22 cal back in 2013. It has the T05 trigger, also very nice. The under-lever is great, your barrel stays fixed and you never have to deal with keeping the barrel hinge point tightened.
Impeccable!! I'm aware you have an appreciation for the Berreta 92 series pistol -- recently purchased the select fire version (feels, looks exactly the same as the U.S. M9 and my personal 92F back in the day) I am a lucky purchaser of a new B3 Chinese under lever, which looks very similar to that Diana at possibly 1/10th cost. Exceptional accuracy also.
I'm an "Old Fart" and grew up with traditional springers, love mine and not switching to anything else. Thanks for doing a great springer review, getting to be a bit rare these days. 👍👍👍👍👍😁

Me too! Started with a Milbro G34 I'm pretty sure it was a 34, if memory serves. There was a G36 aa well which was the top of the range, I think. It's a long time ago in the darkest 70s. Alas, I'm Scottish, so have nothing now but a load of accessories, I should sell. Surrendered mine including a HW 95 .22 still smarts!
I have an early 80s Diana rifle and it’s still going strong !

Nice, keep up the good reviews Andy.
I was given a 1938 Diana 177 air rifle 53 years ago, (64 now) and it still punches through and out the other side of oil cans at 30 yards. It was re-sprung at Bisley 48 years ago. You have to break the barrel to cock it and it gives a satisfying wisp of smoke after each shot. Any value to it? In my early teens, I would mark targets at the Ranges each weekend, as I lived within cycling distance. (far more money than a paper round) It was given to me by an old army officer, who was a friend of my dad's. He kept it in a fired brass 5 inch shell with his walking sticks by the front door.
Diana has a history of making quality springers, thanks for the review Andy👍
Great review as always.I have a marksman scope coming in from Optics Planet here in the States. And now I am a Official Vector Reviewer I have a Paragon 4-20 Tactical on the way UPS Worldwide post. Excited to test that optic out for sure.
I have one of those, but in .22 caliber. Also I'm in the U.S., so the rifle is full power. Extremely nice quality piece, very powerful, and incredibly accurate. Mine has the T05 trigger and I bought it back in 2013 or so. Still absolutely as good as new.
That looks like a nice rifle. Great review as usual Andy.
Now that's a handsome rifle. Good accuracy too. I'm a sucker for stippling!
Seating the pellet is so important in this rifle, I've got one and several times they've dropped out in the breach when closing and I've had to scrape it out after it's been mashed when misfiring...

@johnvanberrgem286

It all depends on the quality of the pellets. I have had the same issue. You have to push the pellets in until they seat good. My 48 for example does not like hades pellets. They fall out of the breach. If I push them in al little further they shoot a lot better.
@Afro408

I found with my Walther LGU, that a map pin with the point cut off the pin, was just the right tool the seat any pellet and the increase in consistent accuracy is well worth the effort. 👍😁
Excellent review!
like the under lever cocking rather than the barrel nice gun
Great review as usual andy..keep up with more springers.

Excellent review
The Diana 50 & Gecado 50 were highly thought of when I grew up in East Africa. The cocking lever was shorter and hidden by the stock.
I am one that likes a well built quality air rifle with the traditional stock rifle. Also enjoy a quality review such as you provide.
Nice gun. My experience with many fire arms and air guns taught me that the common "deer rifle" hold yeilds great accuracy. Basically pull the stock into your shoulder, with light hold on the fore grip. This works with my Beeman Magnum 10616, 998 fps, 8.3 gr 177 Superdomes. .31" group at 33 yards. Sorry, don't do meters... Anywho, this hold works for shotguns to rifles. Pistols, well just grip hard and squeeze. Great video. Keep shootin those springers 😉
Just like the Diana Mauser K98. Which is also accurate and well engineered.

Have a BSA scorpion, pcp yes, but still has those beautiful traditional lines and style, with accuracy and quality build
Impressive springer, great review
Very nice looking rifle, and the 'anti bear trap' release seems much more convenient to use than the Air Arms version. The price isn't too bad for what you get, but it looks a bit unwieldy if not firing from a bench. For an underlever at a similar price point the HW97K gives you a smaller (but not exactly lightweight) chunk of wood and metal that is probably a better fit for many shooters.
@brianlopez8855
Жыл бұрын
Yes the HW97k is a great quality lighter weight around 7lb and shorter making it very wieldy. This Diana is more like the M1 replica .22 air rifle in size and weight but better quality.

This is purely hunting gun. Made to aim using open sight
That rifle looks very accurate.
I do wish more break barrel rifles were available in a multi-shot configuration like the Gamo Swarm series. So much better than fumbling with a single pellet every time you take a shot and even more so when it’s a .177 caliber.
ANOTHER QUALITY REVIEW
Very nice rifle. Great review.
nice review...mabe in the future , a comparison between this Diana and a HW77 /97 would be intresting
Wish you would do this one in the FAC , the way it was built. I was going to purchase one a few years back. Do like the fixed barrel
Hello, I’ve been watching your programs for a while, and I have to say, the Diana rifles are formidable in the quality of their woods, and mechanisms of their metals, price quality, they are very good in their prices. The problem is that the quality of the woods is dying with all the fiber components, in short it’s a shame, but these rifles, I don’t know how long they will last, because the wooden ones last a lifetime. Greetings from Catalonia, Spain.😎🍀🕸.
Good work Sir
Great review Andy. I love springers and this one looks good. However I do feel they missed a trick in not adding a silencer or a thread to fit one. Hunters like me, or back garden shooters with neighbours would have appreciated that feature I feel. 👍

I think you should do more springer reviews. You are a self declared PCP fan and have previously said that you are not particularly good at shooting springers. However people trust you and your no fuss reviews, this makes you the perfect person to review them. I have one of each and won’t be replacing either anytime soon, but if I was after a new springer I would like you to be the person reviewing my potential new purchase so that I could make an informed choice.
Interesting cheers
If I had one wish regarding the very fine Diana rifles... the stutzen 430 model would be in UK stores by next week.

Nice Rifle!
Got my 460 on Nov 7-23 in .22 I sighted in the open sights at 15 yards, then put a u.t.g.3x9x40 on it, at 66 years of age, i dont need a better scope, i sighted it in at 27 yards, which is far enough for my old eyes... beautiful rifle, takes a bit of getting used to at first, but youll catch on fast.
I doubt that 20 Foot pounds is designed for Germany as their airgun laws are stricter than England having an even lower limit without a licence.Probably for export.

AAR isn't repetitive. Next week Andy reviews a semi-auto PCP.
Base for this rifle and a famous british AirArms tx200 is hw77(k). Which has a new shorter version hw57 and without iron sights hw97. Just few years ago Walther produced LGU. Maybe it makes sense to make a summary.
Great review. Thank you for sharing. I was just wondering your opinion on loading the pellets. I have Diana 460 and the Weihrauch HW97. The hw has a great loading gate, and the pellet holds very firm, but Diana is quit loss and bottom of the receiver is absent and pellet may fall into the ground. It's a very accurate rifle and it shoots as good as Weihrauch. I got lucky . Take care
Very nice
