Тогда, в 90-х, были в моде песни в стиле «Девушка поет блюз» Патриссии Касс. Кстати у Патриссии тоже был весьма низкий и глубокий голос, конечно не столь богатый обертонами, но тем не менее. Здесь Диана нопомнила мне, уже почти забытую Касс, а тогда, 25…30 лет назад, она звучала из каждого утюга с песнями в подобном стиле. Что касается сегодняшнего выступления - Диана великолепна, действительно демонстрация голоса, отчасти пластики (в отррочестве она была неплохая плясунья не думаю что утратила способности), но песня - чисто отдохнуть. Обычно под такие делаются домашние дела - создает настроение. В концертах же это примерно тоже, что и «Мама я танцую» - перебивка между вокально сложными и напряженными вещами. Ну чтож. Мы убедились, что голос Дианы действительно завораживает сам по себе, флипы тоже её фишка, она пластична… но мы это и так отлично знали. Это песня не для конкурса, пусть даже такого «неформального». Годится для саундтрека, но это не песня для поющей Актриссы. Конечно зарубежные обозреватели примут на «ура», пение то действительно бесподобно, но… причем тут гипер-патефон и песня конца 20-го века. Со смыслами, на мой взгляд, у устроителей не все в порядке.

The "competition," never had anything to do with points or score, it's not about that. It's about experiences, making new connections and getting out of one's comfort zone to experience new styles of music they might not otherwise practice and experience if not for the show. Scores never mattered, they're just for statistic lovers.
