Brandon is a great talent himself as a singer but more as a song writer and composer. Diana always holds back in her duets because as you see when she goes in to the high notes in this song the others can simply not follow, she can obliderate all competition.

Brandon is her friend and a mentor to our young Diana. He writes and composes many of her originals, including this song. She is just incredible, isn't she? A rich contralto that can sing with those overtones through the entire mezzo range and as you can see here, well into the soprano range with her unique rich tone and vocal quality. Yes 🙌🏽 Igor Krutoy introduced Brandon Stone to Diana when she was 16’ years old. Diana won two Seasons of “You Are Super” a singing competition for disadvantaged children. Igor was a prestigious judge on the show…he ensured that she received an apartment in Moscow so it facilitated her attendance to GITIS University. I believe she graduates this year. Brandon has written many of her original songs and her first Album 💿. I love ❤️ several of them on the album “Duduk” and “The Closest Soul”…I prefer the one with the sand painting in the background. Всё это так, но был один случай в начале карьеры Дианы, когда она в "Гнезде Глухаря", исполняя дуэтом, - "Ах ты степь широкая.... " все-таки "забила" партнёра.... Но это был недостаток сопровождения, и выступали они практически без репетиций..... 😊.

It's an over 300 year old folk song about a Cossack warrior who dreams of his death in an imminent battle. On Diana's face you see sadness, anxiety and pain of the soul of the Cossack warrior. One would swear she borrowed that soul to perform the song. I'm not sure how many people appreciate the emotional gasps she produces here that absolutely melt me.
