Greetings from Scotland! The Duduk (shown in the left side of the video) is an ancient Armenian Flute, unusually, it has 2 reeds. That's where that very deep, soulful sound comes from. Diana matches her vocals to the instrument and doesn't it sound amazing! Diana released this off her album which should be completed soon. Just play this with your eyes closed and allow Diana to enter your soul, then walk with her through the reality she creates, just let the images form in your mind from what you "feel" from her music. It will make any day (even a windy day!) much better! Great reaction again Ari! On Saturday Diana will perform a very different song by a famous Russian singer called Linda. The song is called CROW. Good evening from France Ariana (I suppose) Great reaction! I wrote this presentation for the reactors who really love Diana and who are loyal: Your astonishment is not exceptional! Diana is an unique contralto (dramatic contralto) her range is C3-C6. Diana uses many vocal techniques rarely used in pop music (like overtones, yodel, and some from lyric chant....). The one that seems to amaze people the most is multitonal (polyphonic) voice. The root notes are enriched with powerful harmonics which can give the impression that there are several overlapping voices or an artificial effect which gives this result. This technique is used in Slavic folk music, like Bulgarian vocal groups or artists like Pelageya (kzread.infovideos), the Russian folk diva. I cannot tell you exactly how these artists achieve this result, I was just told that it is linked to the simultaneous use of the different resonators of the human body and that such a mastery of the voice and of the breath with such a fluidity requires years of work, Diana has been singing on stage and has been taking singing and performing arts lessons since the age of 6! She has become famous in the broadcast "You're Great!" ("You are Super"), a song contest reserved for children who have had a difficult start in life. This is the case of Diana who was mistreated and ended up in an orphanage at 3 years old. In her shows, Diana participates in the direction, direction and arrangements of her performances. Duduk is an Armenian national wind instrument. You can hear him playing in this song. It differs in that it is made from apricot tree. And its sound is in tune with the human voice. You may have heard the accompaniment of the duduk in the film Gladiator. Armenian, world-famous master of playing the duduk, Jivan Gasparyan performed this musical accompaniment. Armenia is a Country in the Transcaucasus. The country that was the first in the world to adopt Christianity as the state religion in 301 AD.
