Diana’s background?….. Diana was born in far eastern Russia. She was severely abused as a young child and found alone out on the street during the winter with broken bones at just 3yo. She was then moved to an orphanage where after a few years one of her caregivers kindly adopted her and welcomed Diana into a warm and supportive family. Diana had great difficulty at speaking due to the trauma and singing was recommended as a remedy. It can be said that Diana literally learned to sing before she could even talk. Diana would sing anywhere. She started performing in her hometown on street corners from 6yo and never stopped. She became widely known after appearing on a Russian talent show for disadvantaged children, her ‘audition’ song was in French - Derniere Danse, she was 14yo. Quite apart from her utterly unique and magical voice Diana embodies all the kindness, warmth and graceful integrity that has been shared with her from her loving family. I've followed Diana from Texas for years now. She's an amazing talent and equally dignified and classy person. She's only 18 and has the most amazing vocal color...you are are the tip of the iceberg. Her lower register is unmatched for a female. It's surreal. Sometimes her voice even sounds synthetic it has so many natural overtones. Check out Rechenka and Wicked Game. Her dark, minor key cover of Elvis Presley's Can't help Falling in Love is sensational. She sang it live on stage in Moscow a couple of Months ago...it's a must watch.

Every time I listen to this song, I remember the desert for solitude and to reconnect with the universe's Diana is classified as a rare dark Contralto with poly chromatic undertones, meaning zeveral different tones at once. No one to compare her to past or present. Here is where I began my journey with her. Rechenka (River) age 14. Wicked Game (cover to Chris Issac) HUMAN (cover to RagN'Bone Man), same series, but she was 15. She has music out before competing at this show. I can't help falling in love ( cover to Elvis) was performed before 9. Next one after CROW, My personal Jesus. Her back story is quite remarkable. At age 4 or 5, Russan authorities picked her off the stree in the dead of Winter. Light clothes with multiple broken bones. Her Drug addicted biological severely abused Diana both mentally and physically. She was placed in an orphanage, unable to speak or talk because of the abuse. A therapist social worker had a connection to Diana and then adopted her. Her new Mom enrolled her in singing class to speak and was discovered that Diana was gifted. One of her first competitions was at age 8-10 and did a PERFECT rendition of Yodel Time. Non of the judges passed her snd failed at that show. Next set back is she was denied entry into ANY Russian music universities, the didnt know what to do with her voice. So her winning almost any competition she is entered at, is a slap in the face to the university officers as noq she is considered a National treasure. Last year was rough, but she is back better, more mature and a beautiful person, is humble and grateful for her gift.
