Steel can elastically deform for infinite cycles if the load isn't too large. Mechanics of materials is a fun engineering course.

@@UpstopThrills Absolutely! The whole structure bends extremely to the side! But I was also able to watch it live at Untamed in the Walibi Holland in the curve before the wave turn!❤️

Great Shot! That drop gives amazing airtime, especially in the back row!

Yep! That first airtime him scared the s**t out of me! The drop was scary when you look down. It’s a rule I try not to break. But overall Diamondback is an awesome ride. I rode it several times last weekend.

Anyone who is scared of the track bending, you WANT the coaster to be able to do that. Engineering Science courses explain why (Solid Mechanics).

This was my first b&m hyper when I rode this in July! A cool ride with some fun floater airtime! My favorite part of the ride was probably the first camelback. Though not powerful by any means, the airtime was sustained for nearly 5 seconds!

It looks like a 60 ft drop from that angle

Cedar Fair has some amazing B&M hypers. Behemoth/Diamondback/Thunder Striker all seem fantastic.

I rode it back in 2014 for the first time. I’m terrified of heights, but man, once I went down the first hill, that airtime was awesome!

don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure it's like when your falling, it's gonna hurt a lot more if when you land you keep your legs perfectly straight, as opposed to letting them bend when you hit the ground. Long story short, it's supposed to do that

It’s supposed to do that. It’s safer than a car. If it doesn’t flex then it will snap. So it has to flex. Even skyscrapers do that.

It was a while since I went on a rollercoaster, and me and my friends went to King’s Island for a trip a few months ago. I’ve wanted to feel more gutsier (because I’m a shallow weak coward) and I asked my friends which ride will make me feel more gutsy. They recommended me Diamondback and it does in fact look, sound, and feel cool! I’m not going on a roller coaster ever again. *fear*
