My mom gave me a pair of her diamonds studs when I graduated college last year and I wear them every single day. I soak them in a solution with a little bit of method dish soap and warm water and baking soda for 10 mins and then I brush it with a little bit of toothpaste (ones without the beads). They look amazing and are very shiny even though my mom has them for many years!

This is a compliment: My grandmother would have LOVED you. You are such an intelligent young lady. So refined and bright. My grandma loved pearls. One of her favorite gifts to me was string of pears. She felt every woman should have some. I ADORE you and you channel. #RIPSweetGrandmaGolda

The price tag on those diamonds were a little more than I expected to see! Woah! You definitely deserved them and I am so happy for you! I can't wait for the re-launch of your site. The first luxury purchase of 2017 will be those pearls. I love your attention to detail, being handmade, and you're pure joy of it all.

Thank you for sharing! I think every woman should have a pair of diamond studs. I got mine as a graduation present and they are always a go to piece for me. Also I will always suggest getting the screw backs for these beauties.

I enjoyed this video because I could tell from your eyes how passionate you are about jewelry :) The only piece of jewelry I wear (on a daily basis) is a gold necklace with a diamond that my husband offered to me for my birthday years ago, and I love it. I just can't go back to wearing something else now :)

Very helpful video! I am also in the market for diamond studs. I was worried .5 tcw would be too small but those look perfect on you. I feel better about going for that size now! Yours are stunning.

I bought a pair of white stud earrings from Nouvelle Pearl right after I watched your video. I think I might have to go back and get dangly ones and maybe a necklace. Can't wait to get my earrings.

Costco has beautiful diamond studs as well! The same carat weight as you purchased for less than 1000cad, with a lifetime warranty and gorgeous brilliant cut. They're also guaranteed VSI or better, whereas yours are SI. Definitely check them out!

rachdach Received my studs (0.25 total weight, princess cut) from Costco for my 7th birthday...still wearing them 16 years later! Teaches a kid responsibility and the idea of buying an object for life. Now sometimes I wear one in my conch with a small hoop in the lobe as a modern update. Amazing present from my mother and if I have kids I would certainly get them a pair!

rcd4581 clarity should imho never be the focus of a diamond purchase but the color (or the lack of color). you wont see that a diamond is Vs or si but you WILL see the difference between say an I color stone vs a G color stone. the reason why so many chains promote VS is because the REAL jewelers know that the opposite is better and thus there thends to be more supply yet the price is still high since you pay for the clarity but dont see it. btw I am a grauduate gemologist and graduated from GIA in california

@@thehammah8039 I wouldn't spend a lot of money on the higher color grades for a diamond on the ear. It's a lot harder to tell there's color in them unless you really, REALLY study them next to a better diamond. While it's easy to check out a ring, it's rather ackward to get close to someone's ear.

I didn't know earrings were typically sold in H-J color. I thought they were the same as rings and pendants (D, E, F, etc). I have 1 ct studs and they're F in color. I totally agree that you can fudge on clarity to save a little 💰, and focus more on cut and carat, but I also really like whiter diamonds so I typically try for E or F for larger stones and G-H for smaller ones. I have the option of upgrading at my jeweler too, but I really like around .5- 1 ct studs. I have a more youthful look, so if I got larger stones, then no one would believe that I was wearing real diamonds lol! Great vid!! It's nice to see fellow diamond lovers on KZread 💎

Lauren Michero D E or F will probably not be any noticible because you are farther away.. That said a jeweler will sell you what ever you want..lol. What really drives me crazy is when I see companies saying that a VS stone is more "perfect" then say an SI stone when in fact you cant even see the difference with the naked eye. In general you want to get the highest color for say SI in a stone that weights the most but is still very brilliant (ie not too shallow a stone or too deep as these will affect the light refraction back out of the stone).. happy shopping

Looking to make a second significant jewelry purchase in August. My first was 2015 for my 7 - 7.5mm pearl studs from Tiffany's. I wanted to purchase from a reputable retailer. Now I am considering investing in diamonds. I was looking at the "eternity" bands, but was not certain if it considered appropriate since I am purchasing for myself. I just like the look. Now I am looking at diamond stud earrings. About 1 carat total weight and surprisingly Costco has good reviews. Anyone have any thoughts?

Nice earring and you're so pretty! So, I guess I got lucky in that like 4-5 years ago I bought a pair of very clear, .50 TCW diamond studs set in white gold from Jewelry Television (or JTV) for $399 USD but I never wear them for fear of loosing them lol

Did you get a certificate with those explaining the 4cs on these stones? or at least let you know the color and clarity along with the weight? also the cut is generally listed in 4 categories with 4 being worse and most unbalanced and 1 being closest to "ideal" angles for round brilliant

JessieBanana its very expensive to dig diamonds out of the ground and thus lend the production to what is called a "natural monopoly" in economic terms. that said there is no one who HAS to buy diamonds.. there are lots of other pretty gemstones that you can purchase for much less.. they just wont sparkle as much :-)

+Anette Svea Åsgård Why are you so angry? She's right. Moissanites and Diamonds are very different stones that really shouldn't be compared. The facets of each stone is formed and cut differently. Moissanite is a beautiful stone, if that's what you prefer. However, the brilliance and fire that comes from a diamond is greater and more vibrant.
