This song tears me up every time. Just a little over 3 years ago, I unexpectedly lost my wife of 27 years at age 47, on January 23rd. It broke me. Three weeks later, as I was starting to pull myself back together, I got a Valentine's delivery of flowers that she had ordered a few days before she died. In a sense, I got that "one more day". And I can speak from experience, that it left me wanting more. To this day this song, along with Brad Paisley's 'Who Needs Pictures', never fails to bring a few tears to my eyes.

I miss him every day. For me he was my first love and he will be my last. We got married when I was 17. I can tell you that with the help of God ant time it gets better. Good d Bless you Jay.

I live in North Carolina and I had a sister who lived in Upstate New York. When this song came out she heard it playing on Music Choice on cable but by the time she got to the tv, the song was over. She was so upset because she wanted to know the name of the song. She stopped and thought, "I'll call Lin, she knows all the country songs." So she did call and we got a good laugh out of it. Keep in mind that where she lived they had no cell phones then and here in NC, I was too poor to own one. So calling back those days was long distance by landline and expensive. She didn't care, she just wanted to hear that song title. We lost her in 2006 to liver cancer and this song always brings back that happy day.

In 1987 I was 10 years old when my father was leaving for the grocery store. I asked if I could go and he told me "next time." Of course I didn't mean it, but as a mouthy brat I yelled to him that I hated him as he got into his truck (He and my mother had just separated shortly before, so I was feeling a certain way at the time). He was killed in an accident before he ever came home from the store. The part in the song where it says, "I'd say a million I love yous..." is what hits the most. I loved him, he loved me, and I continue to love him.

A few years ago, I lost my cat who was almost 18 years old. She got me through some really tough times. It was just me and her. Well, a couple weeks after she died, I was in the bathroom getting ready for work, and I looked down and there she was. I picked her up and held her tight, thinking "this can't be a dream. It feels too real." But I knew she couldn't stay. And then my alarm clock went off and the radio was playing One More Day.

In my 28 years on this earth I have delt with loss after loss. I can't convey my emotions physically. So I use music to express my great grief. I have lost my grandmother when I was 13, my father when I was 14 and when I was 15 my mother was diagnosed with stage three cancer, and was given 3 to 6 months. But by the grace of God she is still here but she had to fight, and is still fighting to live. In one of my recent vlog videos I ended up losing it on the 14th anniversary of my father's passing. What made this different is the fact that he had been gone as long as I had him.. I debating so hard on even including that part, reluctantly I did but I ended up cutting most out because it was just too painful to even watch it to edit it. If I had one more day with my daddy, I would ask him what does he think about the man I have become. I would tell him how much I love him, and how hard it has been since he has been gone.. For the most part I would just hold him tight one last time..

My daughter (first born child) is the one I'd want one more day with. I only got 7 days with her as it was. When I got pregnant with my son I was terrified I was going to lose him too but he was thankfully born full term and healthy. We have a wonderful bond now, he's 12. My youngest was a premie, and was smaller than she was supposed to be for how far along she was so the first few months with her were scary, but she's 8 now and full of fire and attitude.

I wish to God I could have one more day with my dad. There is so much left unsaid and so much guilt because he died all alone. I would love to hug him and hear him call me his freckle face one more time

My husband and I lost our son which was our youngest child and last one we had in December of 2016 close to Christmas. He was only 8 1/2 when he passed due to what he had which was adrenoleukodystrophy or ALD. Our daughter lost her baby brother and still wishes for One More Day to tell him she loves him and wants to just hang out with him. My husband and I wish for the same thing too but we all know that we would have to lose him all over again and we couldn't handle it not again. So tell the ones you love that you love them because you don't know how long you have with them, make every minute count.

I'm new to your channel and I get your things in my KZread feed so that's why my comments are kinda late lol. But I lost my mom when I was 11 she was just 44. I lost her to a rare form of heart disease. I've missed her all through my life. I think of her every day. I'm 53 today and I have heart disease. I had my widow maker stented when I was just 28 years old. Today I have 16 stents in the arteries of my heart. 2 more added to my widow maker . I'm on my second pacemaker. She wasn't there for my prom , wedding, my children's birth. Her grandchildren. I made sure my kids knew her though even though it was through me they know their Grandmother. I have coronery artery disease, coronery microvascular disease and heart failure. But I'm good. I've had the Lord my whole life holding my hand through it all. But I miss her still and I always will until I see her again. I enjoy your channel. Thank you. I still think you should react to The Woman In Me by Shania Twain. It's a beautiful song.

Hey Billy! I really enjoy your reactions! I am so glad you did this song Diamond Rio. I have always loved it. Please keep reading! In 2011 my momma died unexpectedly in her sleep. It was devastating. I have 2 older brothers. 1 is 12 years older. The other is 14 years older. Yeah lol I was not planned! I had always been extremely close to my oldest brother. He passed away 5 months after our momma. I was lost. Confused. Every single emotion. As I said I had always loved this song by this group. I made a video with pictures of him, our family and us. I am going to try and send you the link. If you get some spare time I would be honored if you could watch it. Thanks for your time and keep up the great work! Well I am unsure how to send you the video. It is on KZread. If you click on my picture and go down you will see a video mentioning my brother Donnie. Thanks again.

If I could have one more day with my daddy I would say all those things that I never got to say. I would hug him even tighter and tell him constantly how much I love and miss him. March 17th will be two years ago that I lost him.
