If it had been more clear and glass like it would have been worth considerably more. The color of the stone was one of the reasons that it wasn't worth more money. After all it was over 5 carrots. I know nothing about cutting or The Cutting process but I would hope that one could end up with at least a 3 carat stone after the cutting process was done.

It would cost nearly 60-80 thousand USD to replace the 3 carat marquise diamond in my grandmother’s set…. So someone lied here lmao Yeah, sure it’s not a cut diamond…. But it will be cut it to many diamonds and will be sold for a combined total of what could be a few million if not a few hundred thousand.

The only interesting thing I found was a skull of a bird buried in the ground.

Diamonds themselves aren’t worth that much compared to gold. Gold is much more rare. The only reason diamond jewelry is worth more is because of the finger crafting of it and how it looks better than gold

Diamonds are far more valuable than gold. One carat is 2 tenths of a gram. A good quality five carat diamond (one gram) will sell for $20,000. Find me any gram of gold worth 20k.

That place is pretty awesome spent a couple hours there with a good friend didn’t find nothing and when someone Finds something I loud bell goes off on a intercom when I was looking I heard it twice. I literally saw a man I don’t know how he was in a hole about 4 feet wide probably 5 feet deep. It is a fun family activity. I am from Little Rock.

They decided it was only worth about 15 grand and not worth stealing. Had it been worth a bit more then perhaps he would have never gotten that stone back. The color and Clarity of the stone has a lot to do with its price. The more like glass the more valuable is not always correct but often enough that's good enough to go by

While it sounds like a good story, keep in mind that it is still a rough stone, and not an indicator of how large the gem would be if it were cut. a lot of really good half-carat diamond can come from something like a 5-carat rough.

I discovered it when I got home and was doing some wet sifting at home. I will make a vlog of it soon as I find out, if it could be a diamond like the Moussaief diamond if it is the same color, but it looks like a deeper, darker red color, or if it is a ruby, or a garnet.
