I love how, for basically every single time Spamton is in his NEO form, he’s projecting on to you. My favorite line from him is in his Snowgrave fight, where he states, “THERE WILL BE NO MORE [Miracles]. NO MORE [Magic].” As reference to how your, and his, companions have abandoned him.

Was watching a different Spamton animation and this was a suggested video - they did a similar thing with gradually phasing in the body after focusing on the eyes "booting up" (instead of flashing like in game), the music/lyrics fitting perfectly. I've got several favorite parts of this video, and that's one of them. 1:37-1:43 (or all the way through to 2:08) Edit: yeah now the part you mentioned is my favorite. It's also amazing how all that changes is the angle of his eyebrows yet it conveys such drastically different emotions. That the animator managed to create a base expression suitable to optimism/determination/frustration while still being 100% in keeping with canon Spamton's appearance. I can't draw worth beans (though I write) so this absolutely astounds me (puppet rigging I understand in theory).

Oh goodness, I love this. It's got that kind of catchy, manic pacing that a lot of vocaloid/utau songs have that actually fits Spam really well, plus I love the art!

Props for having so many phone sounds as part of the song! Makes me feel trapped in Spamton's insanity

wanted to put this in the background while I did school work, kept getting too distracted by how amazing it was smh seriously though this deserves a million views at least

I love how calm Spamton is compared to other songs like Big Shot with lyrics (Juno and MOTI), and Ad Infinitum.

Might be just me, but he seemed completely willing to keep up his deal all the way to discovering the strings tying him. Or, in Snowgrave, that Kris ('Player') was definitely going to seal the fountain. ..... I really hope there's a bit in Ch3 if you load him onto the Empty Disk but never install it into the machine.

That would be very cool to see. And apparently, depending on which SAVE file you load up, the stuff in Asriel's or Kris's drawer will be different. So if it's possible to take Spamton into future chapters, what would happen if the bedroom becomes a Dark World, and you take the Loaded Disk in there?

song is amazing! I love the parallel in Spamton in the different forms! Normal Spamton is trying to convince you to help him, while also kind of randomly explaining how you’ll be [[BIG], and how he’ll make sure you’re [BIG]. While Spamton Neo is basically saying that there was fine print HE didn’t even see, and that he once again needed YOU (Kris) to help, but instead of a quest, he needed YOU, your SOUL, Kris’ soul, and that he wasn’t going to stop until he got it, or he was trashed. (By the way, the parts with the TV’s were pretty cool! Kinda reminded me of the concept of the Chapter 3 version of Mike)

@@R8MIX I do like how he still emphasized the "We". In Undertale, both SOULs of a monster/human seem to be aware and capable of controlling the body (True Lab). In Deltarune (Ch2), Queen muses if *any* sufficiently Determined Lightener could create a Dark Fountain. Could a Darkner absorb SOULs as well? Because now I'm mega curious.

Keep in mind that the rules of Deltarune are different from those of Undertale, and there's evidence to suggest that Monster mechanics are similar to Human mechanics in Deltarune.

oh my gosh, WHY ISNT THIS MORE POPULAR?! I love the rhythm and the lyrics compliment it so well! You captured Spamton's essence so well with this song!

How did I sleep on this one for over a year, this is great.

What's funny is that spamton becomes God , he becomes a god of the world and seems to try weakening you by turning you yellow. Its like he manipulated the code but accidentally made you stronger. Jevil and Spamton both have yellow in their design , kris also has yellow. But when susie is angry , her light world sprite gets yellowish eyes. It seems to be the colour of insanity. Maybe he sees the game developers as God and hates them for making his existence. He wants free will, he has extended knowledge of the reality he lives him and knows too much , the Knight may symbolize the game developers as he gave knowledge and free will to characters as he felt they were worthy but he saw how Jevil and Spamton went mad and tried other methods. Direct , indirect. He saw that boss characters were more mentally strong so tried experimenting with different personalities. King wanted to help but never did try discovering anything because , just like a king in chess , he was disliked and was lazy so was abbandon in the match. Queen was bombast , powerfull and constantly trying to win and research enemy patterns like in chess so she almost destroyed her own world for knowledge. Spamton was the leftovers , maybe the Knight jumped over current problems like a knight in chess jumps over other enemy's and tried so use a pawn then make it evolve into a boss to evade the research that he would have to make about their reactions. But he make a confused mess that wasn't strong enough to take the information and was used as the bait for something Incredible. But what was he the bait for? Maybe its something playing them all , instead of symbolizing the game developers maybe he symbolizes the enemy pieces trying to become a player. But dead wood could never become alive. You want it , you need it , you have it , you've seen it. That line shows or symbolizes a piece we all want. We all want another king , an extra life or maybe an extra queen. Some want extra pieces. The Knight wants more fountains , matches , pieces , knowledge , freedom. There is a reason why the Knight wants knowledge. He can survive the match , he can escape and escape his control. He doesn't care if other pieces die. If he gets what he wants he doesn't care. Even if Spamton can manipulate the code it doesn't matter , he loses because he doesn't matter in the match. You want it. You want the win. You need it. You need insight. You have it. You have the upper hand. You've seen it. You had it in the bag. You could of won but the odds stacked against you. Disintegrate , the hope that Spamton would win , but the odds changed and you outsmarted him and he lost his best chance at freedom. Cut the strings , finish the game. Once the game finishes the world that was the battlefield ends with it. You cut the strings , ended his game but he was immobilized due to this lack of string puller. Signed the contract to start the game , it went downhill , wants the key to the match. Gets it. Misinterpreted the information. Lost the match. The bishop and rook in all this have been neglected. What if they are the next bosses representations. Or what if we replace chess theory with the card theory , of that were to happen then we could get something similar , we would also get numbers and a jack. Jack could be lancer therefore he would be the main boss symbolizing the betrayal of lancer but what about the numbers. The numbers here , aren't they worthless? I think that yellow is the color of insanity as Spamton , Kris and Jevil all have it in their color scheme aswell as a sort of phycopathicaly enraged Susie sprite. What if they represent the internet instead. Spamton- Spam and shops. Jevil- Offensive and rude area. Knight- dark web. Queen- Exiting and funny internet. King- Cancel culture (Twitter) Kris- Horror. Susie- Phycopathic and complaining. Ralsei- Innocent. Sean- Unknown. Side characters- Irrelevance. Although this is unlikely because the internet was only one chapter it would be interesting as the exiting Sector was brimming with colour and cancel color was empty.

Im glad I got so invested into Spamton resulting in finding musical artists like this. You’re a real [[BIG_SHOT]]

I've just realized that the textbox colors in the "you want it, you need it, you have it, you've seen it" all correspond to a certain character and their relationship with 'freedom' You need it is Kris, because their free will has been overridden by the player. You have it is Susie, who is the only one to actively defy our influence and commands. You've seen it is Ralsei, who appears to know more than he lets on about Kris's relationship with the soul. And you want it must be Noelle, I guess because she is in a similar boat as Kris, just to a lesser level (excluding Snowgrave). Nice job on that! The color coding helped a lot to analyze this.

You forget the Kris is also a but a puppet, the players puppet, they are forced to do things they would never do, over and over, across countless timelines, Spamton, and Jevil are Gaster's puppets, a being of equal power to the player.

@@corvus196 as I said I tolerate the concept of God(s), divine arbitration, etc but don't directly care or necessary benefit from them much the same way a video game character has to tolerate what ever the player decides to do with them be it nice and kind or down right insane and homicidal any implied pretence of Christianity is merely the result of it being prevalent in modern society but is not the intended scope of my statement regarding the player's relationship and influence over their character and by extent all other NPC's. I just find it amusing to imagine an alternate universe where a all powerful entity akin to what could be called a god whimsically forces it's will upon sentient life for it's own personal amusement in the same way we enforce our will through Kris or perhaps over Kris assuming he has a will of his own.

i love how not only you refence lore said by other charecters but lore said by spamton himself aswell, what i am now just relizing on how his neo form looks like an angel, and how the strings are what powers that form, along with how he mentions heaven & freedom are the same thing, it reminds me of how many people think that heaven is eternal peace & eternal happiness, but both are essentially not possible, so when spamton thinks that hes about to go to heaven when you cut his last string, it turns out that the freedom that he thought was possible, was impossible to reach, and after years of his life trying to achive true freedom, he had given up. spamton is full of perserverance, but even the most determined person eventually HAS to give up when they cant reach it. thats just what happens, spamton dosent GET a happy ending like many of the other charecters in the game

Oh, your song about Spamton is my new favorite Spamton song. The feeling of the song is similar to the feeling of GHOST and VocaCircus who make the vocaloid song as a whole, and I like it very much (my favorite part is 1:22 ~ 1:35 2:40 ~ 3:04 0:56, 2:14) Also, as mentioned on Parker Hansen's comment, I also agree that the lyrics, "HOW? HOW CAN YOU BE A [[BIG SHOT]] LIKE ME????" I love that this lyrics have a double meaning of either how Kris can become a big shot like himself when Spamton didn't become a NEO, or when he becomes NEO whether Kris can be equal to him.

I can't believe it took me so long to listen to this but either way I immediately caught how similar 2:10 sounds to "Don't you think.. it's a little cliché?" I don't know if it was intentional, but if it was, that's a perfect song to call back to.

i think one of my favorite things about delta/undertale, is that, It's Scary. 1:46, i feel like this refers to freedom. Noelle (the yellow box) wants freedom (this is a headcanon) bc of her mom trying to make her "perfect" by being the number one in a lot of things in school, etc .Kris (the blue box) needs his freedom to gain control of his body and life again, Susie (the pink box) has freedom because she can do anything she wants (and even in battle in the first half of chapter 1) and ralsei (the white box) has seen freedom through susie and maybe lancer.
