they were ahead of their time. in a kpop scene where sexy or cute concepts were dominating. truly refreshing

Quarantine brought me here again. I still feel so bad for them. They're such a perfect combination for a girl group. Amazing vocal, rap, dance. All of them are also freaking pretty. I've known kpop for 10years, and for me their debut song is the best among another girl group. Not only ear catching, but also meaningful, such a masterpiece. But they disbanded too fast:(( while rookies nowadays, i dont wanna judge them, but tbh the ark is actually much better. The ark srsly deserves more.. It seems impossible but i hope they can reunite with new agency, with better agency which wouldn't waste their talent.

I whole-heartedly agree. Some rookies are very good but they're just different. Noone, just noone is like The Ark. I like them SO much! Each vocal, how the vocals sounds together, each of the girls's dancing, each rapper, they're even pretty and charming on top of all that skill and talent. And I like their vibe and their style so much. Their company missed out on a huge gap in the market just to chase the typical girl group success that other, bigger and more successfull companies already dictate and are much better at.

I agree with The Ark and BAP, but Glam had a member who was found guilty of blackmailing in court and it happened at a time when they were just starting their career so it's kinda understandable for them to have been disbanded, though they could have succeeded a few more years later.

They never should've disbanded and stayed together as a group and continued making good music and performed. 6 years later and it's still sad that it was only their covers, Intro and The Light that they have showcased together. The Ark was a unique, beautiful and powerful group. I'm a Shield, forever. 🤍

Every time I think about them, my heart breaks again. They had so much potential to be a top girl group. They were different and were a well rounded group, like really well rounded group that was good at everything; their dancing, their vocals and their rapping.

+Nisaamota I read somewhere that the reason why K music isn't letting them come back is because they wanted them to do a sexy concept while the group wanted to do a female empowerment concept. The company was only allowing them to have a comeback if they did a sexy concept but none of them wanted to so the company ended up disbanding them. It's just a rumour AFAIK but it would be pretty sad if that was the truth :(

Rumour are saying that halla and Jane will join the new girl group too so I don't think it can be trusted. We can only hope for them to comeback... but music k hasn't said anything so far so it might be just groundless rumour, it's really weird if music k really disband this talented group tho..

Oscaka 007 Not really, when 2ne1 debut, they were different, edgy, unique and they were great to look at because of how happy and comfortable they were on stage. I honestly think the ark can do any genre because of how talented and great they are, as long as they are happy doing it, that's all that matters to me. :P

Yuna's dancing has a very flowy hip-hop feel to it. Idk, I really like this group. Like, I hope they go far and stick with this kinda of hip-hop/dance type of thing they've got going on.

as a person who lives in korea, and is able to speak korean, i know for sure these girls didn't disband because they wanted to. they cried so much, and because they still love each other, they meet pretty often. it's just so depressing as a fan to know that they'll never be able to be together as a group again. reason why? music K (the ark's entertainment) decided to disband because their first album, the light, wasn't a big success. so they kicked yujin, minju, and euna out. and they only had halla and jane remain, probably because they're young..

Honestly The Ark and Glam would've been so popular if they didn't disbanded. Their concepts are different to the cutesy/sexy type which what I want in a girl group. Hopefully a similar group appears in the future.

sarcasstic The difference between Glam and The Ark's disabandments is these girls had no control and had no actual reason for their CEO to disband them. Glam disbanded because a member went to jail. I understand what you mean though.

Why did they leave?!?! They were all so FREAKING SPECIAL! These girls could even speak ENGLISH (well, some). I LOVED THEM SO MUCH! This was literally the first LEGIT CLEAN kpop girl group I've seen. I WANT TO SEE THEM AGAIN. WE NEED THEM BACK!!! I NEED THEM RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This song was released after the incident of the Sewol boat capsized. It was very heartbreaking. Watching the MV makes me cry. If the label pushed more girls THE Ark, it would be a very popular group for sure.

Euna Kim and Minju will debut as duo named KHAN (칸) this mid-May (under Maroo entertainment) while Suji/Halla will debut as Uni.T (winners of KBS survival show, The Unit) this May also. I seriously doubt this. They couldn't really manage any group very well besides from BTS. Look at GLAM for example. Though the group was co-managed by another company, Big Hit didn't really care much for them either. They had so much potential but it was thrown away, just like The Ark's.

Allyson Lee Yes, that's true. It's also the reason they disbanded but tbh, the company managed them very poorly from the very beginning. Also they basically didn't do anything for the other members during the hard times. They should have handled the whole case differently instead of dropping the whole group.

There's something in this song that make me feel special, giving peace and comfort. Wish that The Ark become a long time group. That's why it given a sad impact. Will always be one of my favorite song💗

Spotify removed THE ARK. They took The Light from us. Their only release and they took it from us. So far KHAN is safe. EDIT: They're back on Spotify 💜

I miss this group of girls so so much. The girls are so close but they can't be together as a group. It's just horrible and so sad. Their debut was perfection and they worked so well together. The Ark members fighting!!!!

The most exciting Kpop group to debut in ages ended up disbanding quicker than the speed of light. I guess that's nothing when top groups like 2NE1, 4MINUTE, and KARA get the axe too. The Korean entertainment industry needs to get its shit together, man. Sigh...

+lucky thirteen I believe yujin is better now! Cause i saw a twitter update with her watching a street performance, she looks the same. I think they are preparing for their comeback, halla and yuna said that they were preparing (halla in their fan cafe 150721, yuna on twitter a couple months ago) They were supposed to comeback in August of this year but i think Halla and Jane went back to school. Lets not loose faith! Remember: Yuna "the rappers will sing and the singers will rap"

Jira Kim it was probably both, cause you know halla and jane are 16/17 and they need their education too, and usually school starts in August, but yeah yujin needed rest but I'm sure shes fine now (saw a tweet recently seeing her enjoying a street performance). Maybe it was best for halla and jane to go back to school cause yujin gets the rest she needs and they get to get the education they need (some idols didn't graduate to focus on idol group activities)
