Thanks for your service help dude. Relatively new to the service side of ac after 20 years of new installs. Seem to come up with a lot of the common faults (u4, u2..etc) recently had L9, E5. It’s nice to see you going through the steps to check things. Nice to know I’m following the same steps. Keep up the good work dude

@Zrow Crow none required as far as I know. Only check i did, was to make sure the inverter wasn’t coded out. :)

Craig Ladewig www.daikin.com/products/ac/services/error_codes/pdf/sm-ts3_p1-6_errorcode.pdf And download the Daikin Service App, available on Apple and Android. You can plug in the error codes, and it will even give you the troubleshooting flow diagram.

Download the Daikin Service app on Android or Apple, and go to "fault codes" and type in LC-14. It will tell you you have a "Master Outdoor Unit First Inverter PCB Communication Fault", meaning there is a communication error between the main PCB and first inverter compressor. It will also give you a flow diagram for troubleshooting. As far as the E2, That is an earth leakage detection fault. The small earth leakage board could be lit, detecting either something grounded (bad compressor), or a bad main board, or a bad earth leakage board. Service manual will also tell you how to troubleshoot these faults.

It’s an older style tester that was used to test boards, can’t get that style anymore. I like it better than the newer ones.

thanx ill check it out u in queensland. i generally look for a balanced voltage from the inverter board. am in sunny u.k but worked in perth 1990 doing fridge a/c fun times with a weekly wage packet in cash.😂

From the local Daikin Service Representative. They don’t make them anymore, but Refco makes an inverter checker now that does the same thing, and it’s much smaller, will fit in a tool bag. You can download the PDF of the service manual, and print out the sheets that you want to take with you for troubleshooting, like I did. Go to www.daikinac.com, and select Resources>Manuals>Service Manuals, and find the product you need.
